"Good set up as a family room but some attention to comfort and cleaning needed."

5.0

Advertised as family room but was a double bedroom and twin bedroom sharing a bathroom so good for families with older children or 2 couples.

Double bed was very uncomfortable with springs/metalwork protruding. Mattress either needs replacing or a decent topper used. We only needed a bed for the night after a wedding and on this aspect it failed to meet our requirements giving a poor nights sleep. The bathroom would benefit from a deep clean. Superficially looked OK but lifting the toilet seat there was 'debris' at the back which was really grim and the shower could do with a thorough clean in nooks and crannies.

"A hidden gem in Kent."

10.0

We stayed for Friday until Sunday and the staff we met (Dee and Emma-Louise) couldn't have been anymore friendly or professional. They treated us as if we were local and had stayed there many times before and because of that we felt welcomed from the moment we stepped into the Inn. First impressions of the room (room 4) was that it was clean, tidy and well presented with modern and tasteful decor. The bed was extremely comfortable and very soft (so much so you sank into it) and there was a large flat screen TV and small sofa also. There was a built in cupboard (enough storage to hang items and to keep some luggage) and a kettle to make tea and/or coffee. Tea and coffee was plentiful as was the sugar/sweetener and UHT milk. The room was spacious enough for 2 people and very comfortable and relaxing and it was very quiet also. Clearly the building is well insulted as on the second night we didn’t use the duvet because the room was that warm (my wife feels the cold and even she didn’t use the duvet). Room 4 was also very quiet and we couldn't hear any traffic (other than an emergency vehicle going past). The bathroom is a decent size as is the bath, and if you don’t fancy that then you can have a shower instead (there is complimentary body wash, shampoo and conditioner). The water came out at a very good rate and temperature and wallowing in the bath was relaxing and I could easily fit at 5ft 10in. The provided towels were soft as well. My wife and I ate dinner and had one breakfast at the hotel (breakfast was cooked by Emma-Louise) and the food was tasty and well priced. For breakfast which was £10, you had toast, cereals, tea, coffee, OJ and a fry up for £10 which is an absolute steal. Overall the Inn was clean, friendly, run very well and is full of history and is a great place to stay if you want to visit Canterbury (8 miles), Margate (8 miles), Ramsgate (8 miles) or Herne Bay (9 miles).

Nothing at all.
