S&S HOTEL

The hotel is beautiful and right on the beach! Our room was big and clean and we could not fault it one bit. The staff are so lovely and friendly and we really appreciate how welcoming and helpful they were.

The hotel restaurant is in dollars and we found it to quite expensive, and the portion sizes were very small, we paid $15 for prawns and a side of chips off the main menu and were surprised when it came that there was only 3 prawns. The mark up on alcohol was much higher than the local places surrounding the hotel.

Nice spacious room and bathroom, beautiful views of the pool and beach from the large bedroom windows. The staff in the restaurant were lovely and the food (including breakfast) was great. The hotel arranged us a tuktuk to take us to a restaurant without any issue. Easy access to the beach and great watersports companies.

The room had no full length mirror and very few amenities were provided compared to other hotels in Zanzibar, for example minimal water for brushing teeth and had to request a hairdryer (which they were able to provide!!). A mirror and plug socket near one another would have made a big difference! There are no indoor private showers available for after checkout too. Weather was quite windy so the outdoor restaurant was a bit unpleasant with sand blowing in our eyes. Great hotel with potential just needs small tweaks!

The staff and the owners of the hotel were very friendly and helpful as they were very hands on and responsive they made out stay quiet lovely and we felt right at home . During my friend’s birthday they made it special we were truly grateful.

Very nice and clean spacious rooms. Nice kid friendly pool, easy access to the beach. Its near the Page centre and some other local attractions like the reptile farm, a number of spice farms and the Jozani forest.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful! The food and drinks were delicious. The hotel was always kept clean and tidy and the rooms were cleaned every morning. The little touches, like the complimentary drink on arrival and the different towel art every morning, emphasised the extent to which they wanted to make your stay enjoyable. Any excursions we wanted to book the hotel would sort for us. The taxi service was quick, easy and reliable.
