"It’s a great hotel but it’s overpriced and offers very little."

Fairly spacious and clean rooms. The Staff is great and made our stay as comfortable as possible. The Location is great - right in the beach.

Their overpriced food. They don’t have any variety for their breakfast. They only offer Eggs, avocado, tomato and toast. Their breakfast is only available from 7:00 to 9:30 - who wakes up at 7am while on vacation? The bathroom has NO ventilation - there’s one small window that is so high that you can’t reach it. It gets pretty hot in the bathrooms. Smoking cigarettes seems to be allowed at their restaurant/dining area and we had to sit through other people’s smoke while trying to enjoy their limited breakfast. Some of us don’t like cigarette smoke.

"On par with a cheap AirBnB"

The location is spectacular, and employees were top-notch. Breakfast was substantial.

I rented a 2br apartment, and there was a lack of basic amenities (some place comfotable to sit in the main area, bedside lamps, rugs on the bare tiles, a kettle, a TV). This is a new hotel but with shoddy construction. For example, the water pooled and overflowed in the curb less shower (inadequately slopped to the drain). The windowless bedroom was off-gassing cement and paint fumes. The lights in the bathroom would flicker and go off at will. The screen for the sliding door was installed on the inside of the door, preventing you from opening the door and closing the screen to keep it the bugs. They used low quality doors, and my door lock was broken. My room was on the second floor, but the balconies of other guest rooms are only separated by a hip-height wall. I asked that the lock be fixed since I was uncomfortable spending the night in a room by myself in an unfamiliar place with a broken lock. They first dismissed my concerns, since 'the area was safe'. Then the owner came to fix the lock but complained about the 'stupid locals' who couldn't do anything right. Meals at the restaurant were overpriced. The owners sat around at one of the restaurant tables for significant parts of day smoking cigarettes while guests dined. For the prices charged, I thought I was signing up for a more upscale experience. This is not that.

"Superb"

The breakfast was brilliant, the staff were exceptional, professional and polite- nothing was too much trouble. All in all it was a very relaxing trip and i'd go back again.

The only thing i didn't realise at the time of booking was that although the room has a sea view none of the rooms had balconies- this wasn't particularly a bad thing but for me it was unexpected.

"Decent enough"

Rooms very clean and staff are very nice, not really a sea view room as most of the time you have to keep curtains closed as everyone in the hotel can see in and sea view room only 1 side window is a view of the sea.

On-site restraunt over-priced. Stayed at a few different hotels, better around with a proper sea view

"Our stay was average."

Bed was very comfortable and spacious room. Loved the bathroom and views from the room.

They should consider putting telephones in the rooms to enable calling reception or the kitchen for room service or any other customer requirements. Also include tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms. Further, they should make snack or meal provisions for customers arriving from the airport after their kitchen is closed at night. Since they arrange the airport shuttle so they know that customers will arrive at the hotel late, tired and hungry and will require refreshments. Putting some snacks in the room would be very considerate. Their food menu is limited and needs to be improved . An extra bin in the rooms is required. There is only one small bin in the bathroom. Bedside lamps would be a nice touch. It’s not cheap to stay there. Therefore they have to upgrade it to ensure customers are getting value for their money.

"Really good value for money and I would repeat again."

The location in front of the beach was perfect. The hotel is new and everything is in perfect condition. The pool is very clean and with a nice view and shade. Staff is really nice, always willing to please you and make your life easy and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent! (Fruit, fresh juice, eggs, pancakes and bread). The room was big (we took the apartment with 2 rooms) and the shower was perfect. In summary, really good value for money and we would repeat again.

The back surroundings are (opposite the beach) are in really poor condition, but that’s a general issue in Zanzibar.

"POOR."

The rooms were nice and clean.

The service was terrible. The amenities did not work. No AC in one room for 48 hours +. The water stopped working the morning of Jan. 2nd. The manager has no real power to do anything. Customer service was so poor.

"Didn’t stay, it’s a scam"

Nothing. After the rude and unprofessional attitude from the female manager, totally got heartbroken after the experience.

We arrived at the hotel,and didn't like the place at all. We saw many flies at the reception, and the room is smelly. We booked the hotel for 6 days but the place is like a hostel. when we told the manager we are not checking in despite we were offered an upgrade. And she accused us that we were not gonna stay in the hotel before we arrived, so we just want the refund. Actually we did intend to stay in hotel despite she never replied to our emails. This is the Christmas holiday, I can't imagine us as a newly married couple to stay in a badly conditioned hotel. We did try to go back to ask for the refund the 2nd time, because it's more than $1000, but the manager was yelling at me that i was filming their staff which is not true. I am a genius level 3 on booking.com, this is first time ever that I didn't want to check in a hotel due to the bad conditions, now plus the unprofessional attitude of the female manager. I am even expecting the manager might reply to our comment in a negative way. PS. This place is located by the beach but you can’t go directly from ground level of the hotel to a beach without using stairs as a hotel level is higher then beach itself. It is also fenced, with no direct access to the beach. It can be confusing for some, expecting direct, sand walk from hotel to a sea. No amenities, small restaurant and overally small space, few steps from everywhere to everywhere. Generally not recommend, especially that one can find better options around within similar price range. We were forced to jump through few as during holidays season everything was fully booked around.
