SCARLET SAILS VILLA

The location is really the main draw card as to why we booked. Great beach which is maintained well by staff and away from the party and busier area of the Island. Pool had just been redone but sadly only used this once due to the sea being right there, but looks good.

I had preservations about our stay due to the very mixed reviews online. I find it very confusing that there is a Bungalow, Villa, Resort and Hostel option online but it's the same hotel with nothing really different offered for any. As with other guests comments The hotel is VERY run down and for the money you definitely expect better. ( We stayed in a $25 place the next night which we both preferred and wished we had two nights there instead.) The breakfast nearer to the end was lacking food and no cups out etc. But our day previously we were earlier and no problems at all.

No TV NO internet unless at reception

The cleaners really did a good job. I had a massage in my room which super relaxing and therapeutic .

The room was run down lots of mozzies I got bitten all over my body. The sheets and pillows were super old and thin. I had no connection in my room even with my smart data. There was no hose to clean the sand off our feet. I paid $100 a night should more have been $35 a night. Breakfast was very basic and even though it started at 7 am the one guy refused to put out the coffee until 7:30 am. He got super aggressive with me when I asked him to please put the coffee out at 7:15 am as it was ready but placed behind the bar.

It was reasonably price and on a nice beach.

The room was horrible - a bit like a prison camp. The sliding doors were the length of the wall but you had to have your. Curtains shut as everyone walked -past the room and could see in. The bed was very hard. Also there was no outdoor furniture and the bathroom was horrible. At breakfast they ran out of noodles and despite telling them and being told more would be provided, they never came. The staff were ok.

Wifi wasn’t working. Staff unhelpful. Buffet breakfast stone cold every morning. Not enough lounge chairs for guest. Overpriced for average quality hotel.

The location is the best in my opinion. On the best beach, near the pier, near restaurants. Breakfast was really good, plenty of options.

Wifi not working at all in the rooms. We had to stay in the reception to have internet thus we got bitten by some crazy mosquitos… I would’ve given it 10 but the internet situation was bad

Upon check-in the staff was extremely unhelpful. They apparently have reservations issues and even though I had a copy of my confirmation, they still couldn't check me in. It took them an hour to resolve the issue. Then I was given a room that was under construction and had no TV, even though my booking showed a TV. I asked several times for a TV with no luck. They even made me show them my booking again to prove there was supposed to be a TV. There were Roosters and dogs next to the rooms and the noise started everyday at 4:00 a.m. those were just some of the many issues.

easy access to the beach and easy to get to from the pier. they were also helpful in making sure were booked the right ferry for the best drop off and pickup location.

The shower was not ideal as it was not mounted properly to stay on the wall so you had to hold it while showering. The wifi signal was spotty which was an issue on our rainy day and there was a TV in the room but it apparently hadn't worked since 2019.
