Pyrgi Cretan Living & Spa

Ana and Giorgos have made a fantastic place to stay in the village of Pyrgos. The architecture is beautiful and modern yet completely integrated into the environment. The room was spotless and very well decorated. Staying in Pyrgos gave us the opportunity to visit a more wild part of Crete and to experience the simple life of a Cretan village. We ate at local restaurants and enjoyed Ana’s incredible breakfast. Ana is a special person: full of wit and good advices, she even introduced us to an incredible Greek folk musician! 😉 The Spa is one of the highlights of Pyrgi. We have enjoyed immensely our time there, we will definitely be back!

Wir haben 2Nächte in dem toll neu gestalteten kleinen Hotel übernachtet.Das Zimmer war modern, sauber und komfortabel.Es wurde an alles gedacht (Ganzkörperspiegel, Föhn).Es gibt mehrere Terrassen.Hier erlebt man Kreta abseits der Massen.Anna war so herzlich zu uns.Das Frühstück war herrvorrangend. Das Hotel liegt mitten im Dorf.Man bekommt vorab eine genaue Wegbeschreibung mit Fotos.Toller Aufenthalt, danke Anna!Viele Grüße Nina und Marvin

The warmest welcome in a surprisingly cosy, contemporary comfortable environment which you wouldn’t expect in this tiny local village. The owners managed to make a remarkable uniform standard spread over several houses in connecting small streets. The equipment standard of the rooms is more than complete. Nevertheless, nothing can meet the natural, humble and concerned hospitality offered by Anna and her co-worker. Breakfast is nothing else but perfect. Pyrgos is a homebase we can recommend for those who look for peace and quiteness, centrale positioned on the Isle if you want to discover Central and Eastern Crete.

Beautiful little place, fabulous staff especially the owner Anna who was lovely. Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Made to feel very welcome.

Nothing we didn’t like, however we didn’t hire a car and, with hindsight, a car would have been very beneficial as there is no public transport.

The Pyrgi was the nicest accommodation I have ever been to! My room was decorated really nicely and comfortable. I could feel the love and care that had been put into everything. Breakfast was very rich and delicious with local specialities. The spa area is also very cosy, professional and clean! I used the steam room which was put on just for me. I felt very comfortable throughout my stay and Anna was available through WhatsApp if there was any question. I would definitely come back again!

I found parking a little challenging in that area - narrow and steep but that's also kind of normal in many small villages in Crete. Also unfortunately there was no massage option over Easter. All this however was compensated by the nice atmosphere in the Pyrgi and the very friendly staff.

Dear Anna and George, we’ve spent a brillant and unforgettable week with our family in your beautiful and tastefully decorated accommodation. Everything inside the suite was spotless! We’re still thinking about the savory breakfasts Anna made for us every morning, home made orange cake, orange marmelade, omelette, Cretan specialities…..a dream start of the day ! Anna your everyday smile, availability for your guests, your good mood and eagerness of sharing tips about the area made us feel so spoiled! We thank you very much for giving us the memorable Cretan Hospitaly experience! Pyrgos is nicely located ( a bit remote ), different beaches and historical sites are accessible by car. Hiking routes are in the immediate vicinity. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to be able to come back soon again!

We adored everything !!

We liked EVERYTHING about the property. This is by far the best accommodation we’ve stayed in Crete (and we stayed in several places). For sure the only one we’d come back and regret we didn’t book for a longer period! Absolutely stunning. The complex is not so big but very well executed, divided and organizad. Beautiful project in a tiny village which felt you were finally discovering real Crete. - The hosts communicated with us before and during our stay providing very useful and detailed information on how to find the place, check-in/check-out, where to park, places to go, beaches, restaurants… just big thank you for this! - We got an upgraded on our booking which was certainty very much appreciated and a beautiful and spacious studio instead of a room. There was a very well done window in the sleeping area from which you could see mountains and the starts lying from bed (shame there was a small light pointing at us, thats not on the property but on one of the properties close by, so understandable!) - Anna was super kind to come and open the spa for us after a day in the beach. It was very relaxing, very well constructed/adapted to the space, a gem! And bathrobe, shoes and towels were also provided for the occasion :) THANK YOU ANNA & GEORGE!!!! All the best in this beautiful project. Hopefully we can come back soon!!

The property was gorgeous and super confortabile with amazing views and very quiet. The owner was super nice and friendly and helped us with suggestions and the best breakfast
