Rainforest Hotel by NSUN

Lovely hotel, very comfortable and excellent staff. Very pleasant cool pool.

Rooms were clean, good pool and pictures shown are accurate.

Breakfast was poor- Limited choice, except one day, where they had loads of extra guests staying so made it better for them. Offer happy hour round the pool however finding a staff member to make a drink is a slow process. Took around 45 minutes for a beer and cocktailI. Happy hour quickly became painful hour.

The general layout of the Hotel had a nice feel. Not quite a rainforest but some nice garden plants and garden wall displays. Nice pond with goldfish. Low season so very few guests. Staff were very efficient, courteous and friendly. Bath outside the room was a nice touch.

My biggest gripe was the rooster next door - starting around 3am, and sometimes still crowing at 11am. Needed a pillow over my head to sleep. The stay could have been much more pleasant without the rooster (s). The manager said that it was out of his hands, but I would have thought that a Resort style business could do something about it. The manager was a nice guy, but a bit off-putting the way he stood around in the dining room in his suit watching everything like a Hawk. The location was a bit far out of town, for my liking. Except on the weekend, needed to order breakfast as nothing on display, but the breakfast was OK. Coffee was always just luke-warm.
