Everything. This is an example of how to combine old and modern together. Absolutely stunning room that is looking like a bedroom from an ancient castle, but still keeping comfort and cozy feeling. Modern and high quality bathroom. Very good breakfast and very friendly and helpful owner. There is literary nothing to complain and it is one of the nicest and most comfortable and stylish places I have ever been and I have seen a lot. We felt really good there.

There is nothing really. Maybe safe deposit would be a good improvement.

The stay here was an amazing peek into what the older, graceful, grandiose world was like in a building centuries old, built when every room, stairway, and waiting area were extremely large, with ornate moldings, high painted ceilings, and even a chapel within. On checking in, I met and spoke to the man whose family had owned the building for 9 generations. The room itself was extremely large and spacious, with a painted ceiling I won't forget. But the bathroom was brand new and had been completely remodeled to modern expectations. The breakfast was fantastic and very quiet, in a room with a row of windows viewing vast fields outside the Montepulciano hilltop. The hotel area of the building is up one flight of stairs, but I found the wide ancient stairway and entire experience extremely satisfying. A truly remarkable experience, will definitely return.
