The hotel is beautiful, spotless, and very well maintained. Unfortunately, the quality of the service did not match the quality of the property.

During our stay, major road closures and traffic restrictions were in place because of an international summit in Tivat. According to the police, hotels had been informed about these restrictions well in advance. Despite this, nobody warned us when we left the hotel, and we ended up spending almost an entire day stuck in traffic and at checkpoints. The most frustrating part came the evening before our departure. The police advised us that we had to pass through Tivat before 8:00 a.m. the next morning to avoid further road closures. When I asked for an earlier breakfast, the receptionist told me that they could only provide a lunch bag if guests requested it one day in advance. I found this response unacceptable. The hotel knew exactly which guests were checking out the next day, and they were fully aware of the extraordinary traffic restrictions affecting the area. In such circumstances, a professional hotel should anticipate guests’ needs and organize accordingly, rather than hide behind a procedural excuse. Only after considerable insistence was a lunch bag eventually provided. The restaurant service was also disappointing. On one occasion, we waited nearly two hours before our order was even taken. I have visited Montenegro several times and I genuinely love this country. That is why this experience was so disappointing. The issue was not the summit, the police controls, or the road closures themselves. The issue was the complete lack of communication, initiative, and customer care from a hotel that should have been helping its guests navigate a very predictable situation. A lovely property, but hospitality is measured by how guests are treated when problems arise. In that respect, this hotel failed badly.
