Flat being In a derelict building, scaffolding to front of building which was very noisily worked on for 3 of the 5 days. Fridge not working. 2 single beds not a double. Door to balcony ( which was inaccessible and had an air conditioning unit on it) badly fitting allowing draughts and noise to flow in. Kitchen sink blocked. Kitchen tap very loose. Floor covered with builders grit. Constant smell of damp. Entrance steps worn and painted gloss for optimum slipperyness. Toilet literally in a tiny cupboard. Television only working when it wants. Flat was incredibly small, the photographer was a genius. Description said 1 bedroom, 1bathroom, kitchen, in fact it was a tiny cramped bed-sit. Shower actually in the bedroom/ kitchen. Total disappointment and as I had gone away to recover from shoulder surgery, could have been a complete disaster if my partner hadn't been so fantastic not only about how shit it was, but by helping me to get through it. Massively over priced and I would fight for money back, if there was any chance of getting it. I've since read the reviews, and they are mostly echoing all my concerns, which can only mean that the owners just carry on letting it out having done nothing to elevate the problems. Apparently the fridge hasn't worked since 2023. I book with Booking.com all the time, and this place makes you look very bad, especially with such bad reviews over such a long period of time.

Near to attractions. Ease in traveling, shops and restaurants.

The host was not responsive. They agreed to send me the lock box code for the keys the evening before. I sent them several text messages and emails but they did not reply to me. They sent me the code while i was on the airplane -a few hours before the check-in time i.e 3:00 pm- and could not get the code until I got the internet connection. That thing created too much hassle for me. Secondly, there were scaffoldings outside of the building. Therefore no access to balcony, and there was debris and dust in the balcony. Pictures of the property were deceptive.

Central location, great value for money. Comfortable room with everything you need.

The location is perfect. There is a separate entrance and the A/C is great.

Its a bit dark and the toilet is very small. No space to hang wet clothes.

Malgré nos demandes répétées, nous n'avons pas pu accéder au logement loué le jour de notre arrivée mais seulement le second après avoir harcelé le service assistance. Gestion et communication nulles. A fuir pour éviter les galères !!!

Location, character, clean, moderately priced

DESCRIPTION. Claims to be 377ft2 but nearer 230ft2, of which 50ft2 is staircase ( and limited headroom elsewhere). No fire extinguisher, smoke alarm or 24 hr help as claimed. CONDITION. Very poorly maintained. 1 bed collapsed during the night, toaster, kettle TV etc not working, shower riser rail falls off wall etc.Tried to get help on arrival but no response locally, so emailed SweetStay who were also unable to get help. These faults have been known about since at least Dec '23 ( see on line reviews ) but nothing happens !

We highly recommend staying here for a trip to Catania. Diego and his wife are charming, helpful and highly professional. The space is creative and everything you could think about needing has been anticipated. They provide an amazing, locally inspired breakfast! The location is stellar - a block or so from the fish market, the Duomo, palaces, and incredible pizza!
