Waymore Hotel Spa & Casino

The hotel is amazing, close to everything the room i got was so comfortable and clean, i didn't want to leave. If you're expecting good customer service though, just don't. Starting from the check-in Luis, not good at all. At night there's no receptionist at the front desk, and they do not answer the phones. So much potential so bad customer service. Every other amenity really good.

Waymore Hotel, Spa & Casino was an excellent choice for my wife & me. Check-in was smooth & easy with a very friendly, pleasant & professional reception staff. The location is very good, close enough to a main street with plenty of restaurants, small & large shops, a major cathedral (Mt. Carmel), a pharmacy directly across the street, a large supermarket & a subway (Metro) station within easy walking distance for further, very inexpensive exploration. Ubers & taxis abound for a lot less than in the U.S. The hotel is situated so many sights are easily accessible. Our farthest trip was to the Panama Canal but it didn't take too long to get there; other locals were closer, with our highest Uber fare running just over $7 with tip! The hotel has a spacious & expansive entrance with a restaurant available off to the side. The included breakfast buffet is delicious with eggs made to order, pancakes & pastries, bountiful fresh fruit, coffee & tea, empanadas, potatoes--pretty much everything available in an American breakfast. The service is exquisite: Sra. Esther & Sr. Cesar are excellent & friendly while also extremely professional. Sra. Jessica patiently & pleasantly cooked special request omelets; she worked tirelessly & is to be commended for her efficient & great efforts. Each of them were outstanding and treated us extremely well: they deserve our special thanks. Along with their superb assistants, they made our meals an extreme pleasure. We cannot compliment them highly enough: they made every encounter extremely enjoyable & every meal a delight! The casino is easily accessible with an escalator leading to the mezzanine from near the main entrance to the building. There are table games as well as slot machines; a stage for karaoke offers additional entertainment. There is a separate poker room, TV's for viewing sporting events & a few other areas that we didn't explore. While not a really large casino, there's room & distraction enough for what anyone might want to do. The gym is great and it's located across from the spa. The spa has pleasant staff & offers a wide range of services. There is an outdoor pool on that level as well with plenty of room for sunbathing or just relaxing. Our room was well appointed, well laid out, modern & quite comfortable. The king sized bed suited us perfectly. We didn't have the most spectacular view but did have some pleasant sights to see from our 11th floor room. Hills rising in the distance framed urban scenes with high rises & street level activity also visible. The housekeeping staff was pleasant, professional & accommodating. We were perfectly happy with our room. The one thing we might suggest would be the option for brighter lighting in the room. During the day, the window provided great light; late in the day, there was more indirect lighting. It made for a cozy effect but could have been a bit brighter. All in all, this was a wonderful place to stay, especially for our first trip to Panama City. We enjoyed our week here & would recommend Waymore highly!

Excellent location, wonderful facilities and great service. Great rooms, two options for food, one open 24 hours and even casino. Great value as well as atmosphere

The hotel was clean and spacious. The absolute highlight of my stay was the impeccable service of Sophia and Esther in the main floor restaurant. Sophia was a delight , very kind , very attentive and concerned about me , as a guest . I have NEVER had a better server who cared about my well being. Esther , the manager was overseeing all servers excellent service and was an outstanding person , love them both

The waymore hotel was awesome! We were welcomed by Kevin at the front desk. He was helpful and able to answer any of our questions. We ate breakfast every morning at the restaurant. The buffet had a good variety of fruits and desserts. There was also daily local dishes. The best part was the staff!! Senora Esther, Cesar,Yaimara, Jose, Moreno, Michelle, Dolly, and Celena welcomed you with a smile and provided amazing service!! We would stay here again!!

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The spa was lovely. The staff was very nice and helpful. The pool was nice. I loved the coffee maker in the room.

This hotel is fine. It’s not the Taj Mahal but it serves its purpose. Breakfast is included in the rate and the food was good. The room and hotel was clean and the front desk spoke English. There’s lots of stores nearby and we always felt safe. For our Canadian friends, there’s even a Tim Horton’s nearby.

Stayed at the Waymore for my solo birthday trip. The room is quite spacious and modern. But the central air didn’t work all the time. I called the front desk and they promised to send someone to the room but no one came. Also at certain times there was constant fluctuation in the electricity. The lights would turn on and off. There is a free shuttle to Albrook mall that I was never able to utilize as I was not informed on check in that it leaves once per day at a certain time or that you would have to reserve it a day in advance. The breakfast was horrendous and the staff there were quite indifferent. The staff at the spa made my trip well worth it. They were friendly, attentive, kind and extremely professional.

They just need different breakfast choices.
