"A wonderful hotel in the perfect location — with exceptional service"

We stayed at Hotel San Felipe twice during our trip to Panama: first for three nights when we arrived in Panama City, and then again for two nights between the northern and southern parts of our journey. We had chosen it because it is a boutique hotel located in the heart of Casco Viejo, the historic district of Panama City — and it proved to be an absolutely ideal choice. Within five minutes on foot, in any direction, we could enjoy the beauty, colonial architecture, atmosphere and lively character of this magnificent neighbourhood. At the same time, the modern city was also very easy to reach, either by walking a little further or by taking a very short taxi ride. Beyond the location, the hotel itself is excellent: elegant, comfortable, functional and very pleasant to live in. The rooms are beautiful, the beds extremely comfortable, the terrace is lovely, and the overall atmosphere is both refined and cosy. The whole staff was welcoming, attentive and professional. But what made our stay truly special was the quality of the support we received. We had to postpone our trip at the last minute, from December to February, because of a funeral in the family. Our booking had been made through a reservation platform and was non-refundable, but the hotel did everything possible to help us change the dates smoothly. A very special mention goes to Ramon, who handled this situation with great kindness and efficiency, and then took wonderful care of us throughout our stay. From room arrangements to reservations, advice, and even organising what we needed for a 3 a.m. departure to San Blas, Ramon was always present, generous and extremely helpful. We warmly recommend Hotel San Felipe. It is beautiful, ideally located, very comfortable — and, above all, run by people who truly care about their guests.
