Moondance Ridge Bed & Breakfast

Loved it!

I didn't like the steep stairs to our room. We took clothes out of our larger suitcase and carried them upstairs. We could not carry it up the stairs and there was no elevator. This should be disclosed on the website.

Absolutely wonderful experience 💕 You are really doing yourself a huge disservice if you choose to stay elsewhere! One of the most peaceful places on earth!! ✌️💕

The Moondance Ridge B&B is no longer a B&B, but the new owner Pablo has inaccurately left the listing as a B&B. Pablo the host is a kind, decent person, but his listing is flat-out wrong. The guesthouse (which is what it should be called) is beautiful. Two of the upper rooms have interior balconies that look over the dining room. The exterior windows look over green landscaping. The house is only two miles from downtown New Paltz. The bed mattresses are extra firm (ie: not very uncomfortable) and are unfortunately extra high, approximately 34" above the floor. My wife had to put a chair next to the bed in order to climb in. She moved over to the extra couch bed for both her safety and a more comfortable night's sleep. Pablo offers a continental breakfast, but the only hot items are coffee/tea, instant oatmeal, and bagels (if you toast them). The few pastries were sugary grocery store stuff. He did have decent granola, but I did not stay in a B&B in order to eat cereal and milk. During our stay, the hot water stopped working after the first evening. He could not fix it and was kind enough to refund the second night so we could stay elsewhere. Based on prior reviews, this is a repeat problem which is why I am mentioning it.

First time staying at a bed and breakfast. This home is lovely. Stayed in unit 2 and so we had an easy entry and exit access I. This downstairs room.

Everything was OK quiet, peaceful, and comfortable close to town. Breakfast was a surprise as it was a continental breakfast not a hot breakfast as we have had at most BNB’s. Climate was controlled centrally, not by The individual room. The host was attentive

Property owner is not on site. Checking in with code was successful, but no air conditioning was on in the house. We did eventually get in touch with the owner, who turned the A/c on remotely. The room we were assigned to never cooled off, and the owner offered a second bedroom to change to. Breakfast was not a home-cooked meal, but self-serve items such as cereal, fruit, yogurt, packaged bagels, cookies. Keurig Coffee maker and tea selection available. Very limited protein option other than yogurt. The owner did response when I asked for some protein options, and added a plate of sliced cheddar cheese to the refrigerated display case in the morning. The property itself was lovely, with big bedrooms and baths. But, it was way out in the middle of nowhere, and felt pretty isolated. There are cats in the premises and although they are suppose to be “outside cats”, they easily got into the house anytime a door was opened. We are highly allergic to cats, and were affected in all the rooms. Most of the rooms are on the second floor, and require suitcases to be carried up a long stairway. Be aware of which room you book. Many previous high recommendations were from the era that this B&B was run by a couple living onsite.

My wife and I stayed there because we were going to a wedding. My only complaint was that my wife and I couldn't enjoy this beautiful B & B. For a quiet, a little rustic, out of the way lodging, go there and you will be undoubtedly impressed. We're definitely going back for the Fall season.

This is a gem of a property, managed by Pablo. From start to finish our weekend was relaxing, comfortable and luxurious - can't recommend highly enough!

Beautiful B&B in Ideal location for two days trip to the lakes. Welcoming host. Big room & bath. Nicely design living room with AC. Fresh berries for breakfast. Recommend
