Desolation Hotel Hope Valley

Wonderful cottages, well-appointed kitchen (amongst the best we’ve seen), comfortable bed. Really fantastic value!

The property is adjacent to the road, so there is noise from passing traffic.

It’s always a pleasure to come here and chill for a couple of days. We are cyclists who enjoy road riding in the area and Desolation is perfectly situated for that. And a wonderful place to come back to after a day of riding for an afternoon of hanging in the Aspen Grove. All amenities are first rate, staff is friendly and helpful and the restaurant is good (especially breakfast). Nice hiking trails on the property and close by.

Desolation Hotel is absolutely amazing! Perfect mix between nature isolation with convent amenities! Definitely staying here again.

Very nice bed and clean room. Lovely bathtub (but not big enough for 2). The grounds itself are pretty , but right next to the highway. Perhaps the bigger rooms in the back are less noisy (but even more expensive). The lady at the check-in was really lovely!

Very noisy from the highway right next to it. No fridge in the room .. (we could store our food in the fridge from the staff but would have liked a small fridge). No airconditioning.

We had the Foxtail cabin and it was perfect for my sister and I. It had everything we needed and then some. Made me wish we stayed longer than the one night. The restaurant on the premises was very good and the waiter/manager was very attentive. The sauna was a great and unexpected perk.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cabin we stayed in was cozy, clean and comfortable. Can't wait to come back!

The surroundings were gorgeous and the cabin had everything we needed.

More restaurant time: hours were limited.
