The Happy Coconut Resort

We are a family of 5 and we stayed in one of the beautiful Villa’s. It was spacious, stylish and spotlessly clean. The gardens were luscious and well maintained, clean pool. The beachfront restaurant area was lovely too, lots of hammocks for chilling. Great smoothies too. The most incredible sunsets and great surf breaks all around. It was heavenly for a surfey family.

I think for the price it could have had breakfast included. Also the restaurant food was nice but expensive.

I loved the location and that the beach was only a couple steps away from the room. Their restaurant area is absolutely beautiful and relaxing.

I’m not sure if the place is fairly new but it needs better up keeping (dirty pool). Staff was ok. We definitely received better service at the location next door to them. Also noticed a stain on our bed sheet.

We are 3 guys from Canada who came in Popoyo for surfing and tele work. We had an amazing experience at Mar Andentro. It’s just by the beach, the pool is great, it’s quiet for tele work, the owners and staff is amazing and the breakfast (included) at the restaurant is really good. There is Rancho Santana surf spot juste beside. There is even a yoga plateform, a skateboard area and many spot to relax by the beach or the pool. The wifi was great for tele work too.

The staff was very friendly and the facilities were quite nice.

The room didn't have great airflow and it was quite hot without AC. Thankfully they provided a couple fans, which really helped.

The location is right on a fantastic stretch of beach (Santana Beach). You can walk on the empty beach for ages passing other beaches like Popoyo Beach. The waves can get a bit scary, but that is true for 90% of the Pacific Coast. The Mar Adentro is a clean, comfortable, and peaceful place. We stayed almost a week and loved it so much, that we even returned for a second stay, when we needed the Pacific refreshment after some hot weeks in Nicaragua. The rooms are absolutely clean and very comfortable. The staff is super nice and the restaurant is pretty good, too. The menu is somewhat limited but there are some great meat and veg choices. We also enjoyed the atmosphere. If you are looking for a party place, it's probably not for you. THe Mar Adentro is really quiet, laid back and peaceful. Other options for bars and restaurants are within walking distance, though. It is not exactly cheap, but we found it was more than worth the price.
