What a lovely time we had! Beautiful accommodations. The staff was great.

Everything was great except the parking. Best to bring a compact sedan if you’re going to park in the lodge parking.

I paid over $220 for a room with no warm or hot water and I was not notified of this prior to or at time of booking. After, staff admitted they were aware of the problem but made the excuse that it was a ‘mystery’ why some rooms didn’t have heated water. We were kept up for at least two hours, starting at 12am until after 2 am. There was someone running around and stomping above us. We called the front desk multiple times, which is what we were told to do if we had any issues. We left messages as well. When I reported the noise issue the next day via message it was basically ignored. Again, I was met with the excuse of ‘we should have provided you with the emergency number’. For what we paid, it was appalling to have such a low quality experience and lack of care or accountability from hotel staff. We were not offered any credit or refund.

Parking for larger vehicles is a challenge

The property is absolutely beautiful and so are the rooms. I only wish they had more parking.

We stayed in cabin 11. If you’re handicapped, I recommend cabin 11 or 10 because there is a handicap parking place there. Cabin 10 has two steps and cabin 11 has five steps. We stayed here because we did the night sky program at the observatory. That ends at 10:30 PM and it’s really nice to just drive a short distance to go to sleep rather than the hour and a half down the mountain. The cabins are modern and clean. We had five people in one cabin.

There was so much preaching about water conservation but it took 5 minutes or more to get hot water from the faucet & shower. Each room should have instant hot water heaters if you really care about conservation. Also, to charge $1.00 for a cup of water & 3.00 for a bottle? What about the plastic cups to put the water in? Charge $1.00 for the bottle of water & people may take it with them & actually drink it rather than throw it out with the cup going to the landfill & water wasted. The hotel was awesome & service was great. It's a super addition to the mountain!
