Tulip Hotel

The staff was welcoming, helpful and always smiling! Mr. Phap is a natural host and it really set the tone for our stay. Rooms are huge, restaurant has simple, fresh food — some comments said it was expensive but I thought it was a good value and nicely presented.

Nothing especially when compared to what we saw in town. Luang Namtha does not have the variety or sophistication of Luang Prabang — Tulip seemed to be the most comfortable of the options.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Quiet location with on-site restaurant. They have transportation to take you to the center of town, bus station, etc. very convenient.

New hotel. All facilities were good.

Clean, comforable, big rooms. Probably best option in Luangnamtha from what I’ve seen…. Wifi is decent.

Shower is not very good, just a bit of warm water. The hotel is 7km away from Luangnamtha, not a big issue, just be aware you need to take a taxi or rent a motor bike to go out for dinner. The restaurant next door is not very good.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. We were surprised to see such a modern hotel in such a remote area. The hotel was quite new. Our room was huge, and the beds were very comfortable and much softer than in other areas of Laos or Thailand. The staff were very nice and eager to help. We mostly ate at the hotel restaurant as it was difficult to find something decent to eat elsewhere. Compared to other locations in Laos, the food was a bit costly at the hotel. We mostly had a set breakfast menu to choose from with one exception when we had a small buffet. The food was good. The hotel organizes tours from 1-day to several days with different tour providers. They mainly use tuck tucks for transportation. The tours, however, were not cheap.

if you want to have your towels changed and the room cleaned on a daily basis you will need to let the staff know. Otherwise, they don’t provide room service.

A really nice hotel, probably one of the best in Luang Namtha. Large rooms and very comfortable. And the staff will do everything they can to make your time there as easy and enjoyable as possible. Free bicycles and scooters for rent.

It is some distance from the main town. For me it was a 15-20 minute bicycle ride which was fine, especially for staying at such a nice hotel.

Feels luxurious, spacious room, very comfortable. Staff is amazing and drives you for little money whereever you need to go.

The location is far out from the travel agencies and the night market. As the staff gets you whereever you need to go, that is not such a negative thing anymore, you cannot just walk

Everything was very nice! Great, clean room. Extremely helpful receptionist who made us very welcome.

The location worked for us as we went hiking and nothing else. However, the hotel is quite far from the true center of Luang Namtha. Breakfast could be better, with a bit more choices.
