Cozy place amazing service

The staff was terrific -- friendly, down-to-earth, and helpful! The room was clean. The comfortable room and the soaking tub were the highlights of the trip, as was the sauna. A room with a view and soaking tub is highly recommended. The rooms and shared spaces are beautiful, warm, and smell very good. We took advantage of the pool table, free bowling, hiking trails, and the previously mentioned-amenities. The on-site restaurant called "The Dining Room" was not worth the money, as the meals we had were sparse, not all that good, lacked side dishes, lacked bread service. Aside from that, the lodge provided a relaxing weekend getaway. Oh, and the grounds were well-kept, and provided beautiful views!

The property is beautiful and really a great place to unwind. I did think the hostess was slightly off with us. She said she was going to give us a tour on check in but eventually found out she did not (she just walked us to our room) and she actually was not very forthcoming with giving a description of the property and what the property offers as part of the welcome. In fact as we were leaving we then accidentally found out about other amenities. The hostesses didn’t seem as knowledgeable about giving ideas of things to do around the area - contrary to what’s advertised on the website. We had dinner at the Dining Room - food was great except they served the fries that came with the burger cold - not expected for a place charging $35 for a burger. They did replace the fries when we asked. The rest of the food we ordered was good. The other drawback was the robes in the room. They are actually super cool looking but the fabric itches a lot. Other than that it really is a cool property and the rest of the staff were good.

The staff were amazing and went above and beyond. we were upgraded, they were responsive to messages, made us feel so welcome. the food for dinner was top quality. breakfast could have been a bit better in terms of choices.

my only comment is the overall pricing for one night with dinner was steep. everything else was amazing

It was amazing to spend 2 nights there . Everyone was polite and professional. Food at restaurant was great , room was clean and beautiful. 10 out of 10 . Definitely we will go back again .

Awesome unique funky spot

I would give 6 stars if I could. I have never been treated by staff so kindly at a hotel. We were immediately welcomed with warm smiles, complementary drinks and sat by the fire to enjoy them. Room was clean and decor was fun and unique. The outdoor tub was my favorite. Before I left I already planned on coming back for the fall season to do some hiking around the area and look at the fall foliage. I recommended this place to all my friends. I have been upstate at least three times a year for the past decade, this experience was by far the most unique and enjoyable.
