It’s a very unique place to stay. Do not expect a 5 star hotel but that’s what we like. We like private and unique - and a safe place for our dogs where people don’t stick their nose up. Perfect for us

The sofa in our room was filthy and smelled of pee. Buildings are dated and can use an uplift. But the staff was great.

Clean & quaint

Super cute property that allows pets. Employees are really nice and helpful. The property could use a cleanup. There is a lot of trash around the grounds. I would stay here again without question!

We enjoyed staying here. The entire unit is very charming and much bigger than staying at hotel. The unit we stayed in has a large living room area. Everything in here seems fairly new. It is very clean. This place is not right in downtown Manitou Springs which is great (less noise and no crowds) yet very convenient to do everything (Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, hiking in the area). The staffs are wonderful and friendly. It’s a great place to stay.

When I got to property, they didn’t have my reservation even though I booked months in advance. The expedia page for this property is inaccurate. They got a new system and lost all of their expedia reservations. They took me around to the available rooms, the one we stayed in smelled so bad of cigarettes we had to have all of the windows open. We smelled like cigarettes for days after staying there even though there is a no smoking rule. I think we would have enjoyed our room more if it didn’t reek so bad of cigarettes. Overall it was nice the smell was just so bad.

I stayed here because of the location to Red Rocks, which was perfect. Also, you can't ask for a better restaurant right across the street at the mountain cafe. The family that owns the lodge, I would rather support them than the Hiltons, they are great. If you need something just ask the front desk. Now, the casitas are not luxury and I don't mind that one bit. The A/C worked and the bed was comfortable. I was in 16. What I didn't like was the 'Sofa' was a futon so it was low to the ground and I can feel the metal through the thin pad. Also, they should really have a lamp on the living area because it is dark in there in the evening and the only light is in the kitchen. Parking in the back was a little scary and I'm thankful nothing happened to my rental. The pool was not filled in June. And mostly why I give this one less star is because, the place smelled of cigarettes and all my clothes smelled. I had to fly home smelling of it and my daughters military uniform would've smelled like it if she didn't leave it in the car. That's a huge problem. I would actually stay here again for its location I would just cross my fingers that the other place didn't smell like cigarettes.

The property is worn out and in bad need of overhaul in many respects. The bed slats broke in my bed. The water leaked from the bathroom into my bedroom in the room they switched us to. There was not enough lighting anywhere. Everything was run down.
