Det er en god tanke med fællesspisning for gæsterne, men vi ville nok gerne have muligheden for at spise selv, da vi tog derned for at få ro efter travle dage med mange mennesker i Kigali.

Vsi so zelo prijazni, nastanitev je odlicna. Razgled je cudovit, vsaka enota ponuja dovolj zasebnosti.

Hrana (kosilo in večerja) je zelo dobra in hitro pripravljena, vendar je glede na standarde drugod po drzavi izjemno draga. Vseeno je dozivetje skupne vecerje zelo prijetno in ga priporocava.

Côté repas, c'est la surprise mais tout est fait maison Philippe est un hôte merveilleux. Il est au petits soins pour que votre séjour reste mémorable.

Il est vivement conseillé d'avoir un 4x4 pour arriver à l'hôtel. La route étant en construction, les derniers kilomètres se font sur une route typique d'Afrique. Mais pas de soucis, on y arrive. Il faut juste prendre le temps. Vous serez contents d'avoir relevé le défit.

This is a beautiful and secluded retreat, perfectly integrated with nature. It offers stunning views of the serene Lake Kivu, framed by lush green mountains and scenic islands. The management is incredibly welcoming and attentive to every detail, while the staff provides a familial and warm atmosphere. ​The food is delicious and exceptionally fresh, with ingredients sourced directly from the on-site farm. The hotel also offers fantastic activities, such as boat trips to nearby coffee plantations where guests can enjoy a hands-on coffee-making experience. Our room was comfortable, featuring a panoramic view, a private terrace, and a unique outdoor shower. ​This is a truly positive and life-affirming destination that respects its ecological surroundings. It's a place worth staying at for several days to fully appreciate its charm and natural beauty.

Big beautiful room (more like little cottage), spacious terase, and outside shower with plenty of hot water with most amazing view. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Everything else was just exceptional. Stuff, food, activities, view, pool. Really one of the best accommodations we stayed in.

This has nothing to do with Umutuzo Lodge, but I highly recommend having a jeep or 4x4 vehicle to ensure you reach the accommodation without any issues. The last 10 km leading to the lodge is an unpaved road with some rough sections.
