Very noisy and had to share bathroom

This place is so Noisy. Do not try to stay there. The music is so loud that my bed in the room ad the second floor was jumping . Never again. They mentioned on the web " will be some music " but this is not a music it is earthquake.

stayed here a few nights. very cute local dive! room was clean and ear plugs were provided and worked well to block out the noise from the bar. owner was very nice. loved the overall vibes and was a great local experience!

We enjoyed our stay so much. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. It was nothing fancy, and we had to share a bathroom, but we had no problems. It was very loud at night with the bar underneath. The people made this experience great for us. We are from Georgia and came off season. We were watching the Falcons, and the locals joined in and cheered for our team! We really loved talking to the people of Talkeetna. They made it very special for us. I can’t wait to go back and stay in the same place!

Nothing it was a great stay

Live karoke music downstairs until 2am. Good beer and excellent company. I would definitely return.

I was hoping that they served pub grub in the first level tavern.

The rooms are above a bar and there was a band playing but luckily they wrapped up by 7 pm. The room was so tiny barely enough room for a full-size bed and one table. But the room and bathrooms were very clean. The evening bartender Heather was very nice, the day bartender wasn't.

Location was fine

It is a bar, not a hotel. Anyone thinking the rating of this property comes from it being a hotel is wrong. It is a bar first and foremost, with very basic rooms with shared bath upstairs. I get that's its a cool and historic location, but with live music starting at 10pm, a raucus downstairs and paper-thin walls you won't ever want to sleep here. How the Bar and the Hotel are not listed as separate businesses is beyond me.
