Fantastic!

First of all, the Staunton, VA area is a beautiful area to spend some days to catch up with your soul and just relax and enjoy life. Second, Berkeley House is truly unique. Jeff and Bonnie have gone to incredible lengths to get this up to a standard that is just amazing. This is as far from the cookie cutter standard hotel chain as it can possibly be. But it is loved for and nurtured in a way that makes you feel so welcome and at ease. Third, Jeff and Bonnie are the perfect hosts. Friendly, easy going, helpful in any way. Last, the concept of B&B works here. At every breakfast, we engaged with the other guests and had great conversations. It was a great way to start the day, to sit and enjoy Jeff's and Bonnie's sumptous breakfast, while at the same time talking to strangers and just have a slow and very good start to the day. If you have a few days to spare, go there. You will not regret it!

Lovely place

Never having experienced staying in a bed and breakfast before, I was pleasantly surprised by the perfect time I had. The atmosphere hearkened to the 19th century while keeping up with the modern conveniences. The owners obviously have the passion for making the visit relaxing yet authentic to the Victorian era. They were amicable, the breakfast was special, my entire stay was positive. I shall definitely return.

A B&B experience that would be hard to beat at any price. Beautiful rooms, great hosts, great food, perfect location.

Comfortable setting, many nearby activities, yummy breakfast, beautiful and relaxing interior, awesome wrap-around porch, charming and friendly hosts. Tough to beat the combination.

Jeff was a wonderful host. The property was renovated in 2014 so while it has tons of antiques, it doesn't feel old or dusty. It's as beautiful as the pictures make it out to be. We were very fortunate to share the house with two really friendly couples so it added to the charm of the experience. Staunton is a fantastic town. I highly recommend it for a weekend get away from DC or anywhere else! We will definitely stay here again if or when we come through Staunton again!

Jeff and Bonnie were great! Food was outstanding, and everything about is was perfect!

This was our first time staying at a bed & breakfast, and it was an amazing experience. We arrived to the scent of fresh-baked banana bread, and the owners were warm and welcoming. The house itself is gorgeous and beautifully restored, with tasteful decorations and period furniture. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, decorated in a traditional style. Everything was clean and neat. Breakfast is included (obviously) and was quite delicious. The house is only a block from the Woodrow Wilson museum, and a short walk to downtown shops and restaurants as well as the Blackfriars Playhouse (home to an excellent regional Shakespeare company). Overall it was a wonderful experience and we'd love to stay there again!
