"Prachtige plek om Blowing Rock te bezoeken. In die zin onvergetelijk!"

7.0

"Still a Beautiful Stay!"

10.0

I have left a review here before, but just a couple of weeks after our last stay Western NC was hit by Hurricane Helene. I am so happy to see a year later that Blowing Rock as a whole and the Azalea Garden Inn in particular are looking so beautiful! We stayed in the same room we did last year, room 15, which is a deluxe king room on the second floor. It looked just as good and was just as comfy and cozy. And the highlight of the grounds, the patios with the fire tables, were also just as we remembered. We loved sitting out by the fire with some board games and crossword puzzles to wind down our evenings. We have in the past chosen to stay here as one of many lovely places on Main Street within walking distance of downtown Blowing Rock's restaurants, shopping, the park and the Glen Burney hiking trails. But this is the first visit we realized that on this end of Main Street, it's also a reasonable walk in the other direction to the "Shoppes on the Parkway" Tanger Outlets, Doc's Rocks Gem Mine (which we have visited many times and highly recommend!) and a restaurant we have really enjoyed called The Moon. We'd always driven that way in the past but decided to walk this time because the weather was so gorgeous and it was a really nice walk! And it looks like there is a project underway to build a Greenway all the way from Blowing Rock to Boone so we look forward to coming back and checking out that progress in the future!

"Don't be fooled by the photos"

2.0

I am an avid traveler and have stayed at countless inns, hotels, and lodges both across the U.S. and abroad. Unfortunately, my two-week stay at the Azalea Garden Inn in Boone, NC, ranks as the worst experience I have ever had. First, there was the issue of deceptive billing. The daily fees changed without notice, resulting in an overcharge of $569.80 beyond the original quoted rate. Second, the condition of the room was appalling. The carpet was so filthy that I had to cover the entire floor with towels. The furniture upholstery was badly stained and discolored, requiring the same treatment. To make matters worse, the air-conditioning unit was coated with black mold and unsafe to operate, leaving me with no ventilation. I endured hot days without air conditioning, cold days without heat, and nights in an uncomfortable bed while breathing stagnant and unhealthy air. When I raised these concerns, the manager openly admitted the problems and stated that the owner lacked funds to replace the carpet or the AC unit. Unfortunately, my circumstances prohibited me from moving elsewhere, so I endured the inhospitable environment for fourteen days. The inn’s website claims its rooms are “clean and well-maintained,” which is entirely false. The poor conditions and exposure to toxic air landed me in the emergency room with a respiratory infection. Although the management company Savara Hospitality eventually corrected the billing error, they offered no apology, no compensation for the hazardous environment, and no assurance that these issues would be addressed. The indifference and lack of accountability displayed by management fall exceedingly below the standards of any reputable establishment. I strongly advise against staying at the Azalea Garden Inn.

What could have looked like a motel was beautified by flower boxes under each window, a lovely covered deck with gas firepits, and friendly staff. The Inn was in easy walking distance to many restaurants and even a small market.

"Beauty in the Making!"

10.0

This is my most favorite place to stay. Was a little disappointed in the grounds as they were at one time a sight to behold as you come around the curve. Carpet in rooms not already done need to be replaced. More staff to keep each room as it always has been. Clean and welcoming. And a grounds keeper. The maintenance staff and cleaning staff should have a golf cart so they can go from property to property. Too much time wasted walking and time from property yo property.
