"Super little rural bolt-hole for a short stay."

8.0

Very comfortable and well equipped for such a small space - careful thought and organisation had gone into it. Bed was comfortable and perfect fresh bedding. Lovely setting - you could hear the river and birdsong.

The wagon was perfect, it had everything we needed for a quiet weekend and was lovely and warm when we arrived. It's in a perfect location for peace and stargazing, with plenty of walks in easy distance. Will definitely be returning and would highly recommend.

It is on a working farm on a busy road so at times there was a fair bit of noise but it honestly didn't bother us much. The bathroom is very small but it's a railway carriage, what did you expect!

Wagon was in a lovely location on a farm and owner was very nice, once I managed to find the farm , but checking in time or instructions would have been helpful . Bed was comfortable and I did appreciate the tea, sugar and milk provided , but the room itself was quite cold -with one tiny inadequate heater . Bathroom was also very cold and smelled very damp and unfortunately the toilet seat was loose and shooting off to one side.

"Would definitely stay again and maybe in the summer, but for the winter I would suggest a bigger radiator for those cold"

9.0

Good location under a dark sky full of stars! Close to crickhowell with shops and restaurants close by. Loved the converted railway wagon and its facilities were pretty good.

It was a bit of a cold night/morning and a bigger portable radiator would’ve been perfect but was lovely and warm in the bed. A clearer sign on the main road would’ve helped as we had almost missed the turning - twice.

"Lovely converted train wagon in Wales "

8.0

A beautiful converted train wagon nestled in the Welsh countryside. Very well put together with most amenities available. Very comfy bed - small but well sized for a intimate break together. There were just a few things we thought to mention: 1. No WiFi came as a huge surprise. Personally we (and probably most) assumed there would be wifi. We would’ve really appreciated this being explicitly stated. 2. There was practically no communication from the hosts, just an empty email with a pin on a map. No check in or checkout instructions were mentioned before our trip. It felt a bit strange to be staying on their farm with them working and basically being ignored!! 3. The wagon could’ve done with a few extras; oil to cook with, wood for the fire pit outside, and some kitchen towels/paper towels for the dishes. Overall would recommend but be warned about the WiFi! :)
