I had a wonderful two-week stay at this beautiful hotel. The food was excellent, everything was very clean, and the staff were always kind and welcoming. Every day was filled with joy and new experiences. I felt cared for the entire time, and thanks to the amazing animation team there was never a single boring moment. Every evening there were shows or a disco, and the atmosphere was fantastic. I can’t wait to come back! A very special thank you to the incredible animators – Naihma, Tatiana, Lunette, and Sylvestra – you are truly amazing. We’re very shocked that this is a 5 star hotel and how it has so many positive reviews. We ended our trip early because of how much we weren’t enjoying it, and we were both made very poorly from the food. We’ve stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world, and this certainly is not 5 star, it’s a standard 4 star. When checking in, we were only provided 2 small bottles of water - considering you need to use bottled water to wash your hands, brush your teeth, and to drink, this was not enough. We found it very challenging getting any more - we were told it would cost us otherwise we weren’t getting them. We’d just been delayed in the capital for 24 hours and arrived late at night, this was the last thing we needed. Water is a very basic right, especially for a 5 star hotel, more than enough should be provided without question. When we came to our room, the room key holder fell off the wall, it took almost a week to get fixed and that was due to us chasing constantly. We also asked for more hangers and they never came, and the shower gel was empty and took days for them. We love being at the beach on holiday, but not this one. They blast loud unpleasant music for most of the day, so you can’t even hear the waves, or yourself think! The breakfast is basic - can’t have the fruit, as the flies or always on them. They should cut fruit for you fresh to order so it doesn’t just sit there. It’s also like a kids breakfast, almost everything is sweet. No one knows what a latte is and said I have to pay for decaf, even on all inclusive. Hardly anyone speaks English which makes everything very difficult. 95% of the staff just don’t give good service at all, they seem standoffish and like they can’t be bothered. You feel they don’t want to be there so do the bare minimum! If the staff don’t understand, most of them laugh between themselves and make you feel uncomfortable. The food just does not match what a 5 star hotel would offer. The standards and quality seem so much lower of those of a 5 star hotel. My husband and I were made very poorly by the food. They tried to massively overcharge us for excursions. When they could see we weren’t stupid they came down hundreds of euros and said they can do it loads cheaper - so why try and charge us way above the amount to start? When we arrived, the shower gel provided was empty and didn’t get filled up for days. You aren’t allowed to get an iron sent to the room. We have never experienced this in a hotel before. They make you pay for an ironing service. On day, my husband saw that a me member of staff got the wheels of his kart half stuck in the pool, so he ran over and helped him lift it out - the member of staff just looked at him and didn’t say thank you. There was no do not disturb sign for our door - we had to write a note and place it outside our door to not be disturbed. You get 1 room key when you check in and if you lose it you get charged £5. The spa is a long story but it was just a strange experience, I won’t mention everything, but something to mention was that when they asked me to turn over (onto my back), they didn’t hold a towel up for my privacy, in fact, instead of turning over, I asked for a towel and she just stared at me, so I asked a couple more times. She just laughed at me and threw a folded towel onto my back for me to sort myself. When having breakfast, the chef touched raw meat (bacon) then passed me a utensil I’d asked for with same hand and didn’t wash his hand before. How many times do they do this sort of thing? No wonder we were both so poorly the whole time! The cleaners also don’t hoover room, so we were constantly stepping on bits of sand in the room. Do I need to say more? If you’re used to 5 star hotels and proper standards being met with good food and service, this place will not be for you at all.

Look no further than this wonderful welcoming and spacious beach resort. Super attentive service, large and very comfortable rooms and a generosity of spirit that sets this apart. Roberto and his team do the best job in looking after all their guests and we truly felt welcome and at home

Lovely!! This was my fourth trip to Nosy Be and fourth hotel/resort I’ve stayed at. It was by far the best. Others nearby are date. This is brand new. Wonderful beach and pool and tours you can do from this location. Highly recommend! It’s worth the price!

We had a wonderful stay of 7 nights at the Royal Andilana Resort & Spa. We requested for a room with the best possible view of the ocean and the Hotel fulfilled our request. Very much grateful for that. The rooms, the clealiness, the efficiency of all the staff from the cleaning team to the waiters has been top notch. The restaurant has such a wide spread of food, you are spoilt for choice. They keep you entertained every evening. All the excursions that we went on with the Sounds Team were very well organised. They have maintained their beach and love ly waters to swim in. We enjoyed the massages at the spa and I must say the masseuses were excellent. We have nothing to complain about. We had a very enjoyable stay. Many thanks to the Management and staff of the Royal Andilana Resort and Spa.

Our stay at Royal Andilana Resort & Spa in Nosy Be was one of the most beautiful trips we’ve ever taken! The hotel is truly exceptional – modern, elegant, and immaculately maintained. It’s located by a dreamy beach with turquoise water and soft sand. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and incredibly comfortable – cleaned to perfection every day. Special appreciation goes to the hotel staff – every single person was kind, smiling, and always ready to help. From the reception to the restaurant and housekeeping – everyone contributed to a warm, welcoming atmosphere. But it was the animation team that truly made our stay magical! Full of passion, energy, and kindness – they organized fun activities, games, and amazing evening shows every day. They always had time to chat, laugh, or dance with us. In the evenings, after the shows, we would often stay and talk together – sharing stories, laughing, and getting to know one another. It felt like we became part of a big family. A very special thank-you to Daldo – his kindness, smile, and open heart made each day brighter. Thank you, Daldo, for your warmth and the positive energy you shared with us! Great resort, great experience great excursions amazing staff!!

I spent one week together with my wife in January 2025, room 127. I would say, that the cleanliness of the rooms, amenities and the garden maintenance is definitely - 5 stars. Comfort of rooms and sleep is however not perfect, as the ac is to small for the large room area - 4 stars The food quality is average and variety small. There is only one restaurant open daily and one bar on the beach. One more restaurant is on the beach which is open once a week but we didn’t go there. All inclusive is in fact not all inclusive, as you have to pay extra for water and coffee. Some alcohols like beer and cheap spirits are free but I didn’t drink alcohol, as I was on detox routine, so paying extra for bottled water and coffee is not what I would expect in all inclusive good hotel - 2,5 stars The area is very small and surrounded from all sides by local people living there in tents, huts. They are quite noisy, doing their tasks, making food on fire (smell of smoke is a regular thing there). Cottage animals like cows and sheep’s over the wall wandering around etc. - 2 stars Swimming pool - very small - 3,5 stars Gym - it is not a gym, it is a small room with no ac and some old and random equipment. Even the place is small it is constantly occupied by two big assistants. The place of no sense - 0 stars The beach - nice beach but it is not private, many local people walking around and try to sell their goods or services; ferres and boats come and go, water in the is not clean as it is polluted by local people (there is no sewage treatment) - 3 stars. Generally it is 3 star hotel at most.

We stayed at this hotel in December 2024. A great way to relax a bit before the Christmas rush. My husband and I enjoyed every moment from the beginning to the end, whether it was the warm welcoming with welcome drinks and refreshment, the cheerful animation activities (we didn't use them, we were more just observers), the beautiful and clean surroundings, the delicious food or the smiling staff. The hotel is set in beautiful tropical gardens and divided into few modern buildings with a traditional vibe. We were given a room on the ground floor. The ground floor room comes with a spacious terrace with comfortable chairs and a lovely view of the garden, but we hardly used this. The room was spacious, stylishly decorated, the bed was incredibly comfortable and we appreciated the smart TV with access to streaming platforms. The stylish shower in the bathroom is the one I would love to have at home. :D A great idea is the hotel beach bag, which fits everything you need including towels. The room was cleaned regularly and we were also offered the option of having the room sprayed for mosquitoes. We didn't take advantage of this and then regretted it as we were really badly stung. :D Immediately after arrival we found out that the safe in our room was not working, it should be noted that as soon as we reported it to the reception, in less than 20 minutes we were given another. Service of a lightning speed, very satisfied. :D The main hotel restaurant, Tany's, was amazing! Open airy space, smiling staff and lots of great food to choose from. There was no problem to get sunbeds at the pool and on the beach. Service of the pool bar was quick and there was plenty of rum in the cocktails. :D The only big disappointment was the beach, which was full of seaweed during our stay. Sea was quite murky and dirty, again with lots of seaweed floating. There was also a big low tide in the morning. We swam anyway, it just spoiled the experience a bit, but unfortunately, that's nature. We enjoyed crystal blue waters on our trip to nearby Nosy Iranja island. Final rating: - Pros: one of the nicest resorts we've ever been to, helpful and friendly staff, great food selection, local vendors on the beach not as annoying as elsewhere in the world - Cons: dirty sea and beach, fewer shopping options (unless you want to buy from locals on the beach), worse soundproofing of room, unstable wi-fi in the rooms (but we didn't fly on holiday for that :D)
