Royal Andilana Resort & Spa

Everything in this hotel was top-notch: the beautiful, spacious rooms, with comfortable beds, wonderfully soft pillows and a helpful hotel staff. The real delight of the three of us was the hotel restaurant - with a wide selection of local and Italian dishes - no wonder, since an Italian chef runs it. Every day, during breakfast, lunch, and dinner, delicious fresh fruits and ice cream were available. Both the chef and the GM could be found in the restaurant area greeting guests, ready to listen to their opinions or wishes. If there were no word limit, I could write much more such praises about this hotel.

Hotel, run by Italians, is one of the best we have ever been. Really. European standard. Very clean, large rooms with a terrace. Food amazing - wide variety of seafood, pizza, pasta, fruits..everything you can imagine. Wine decent. Animation program for kids&adults, well equipped gym. Turtle and chameleon in the resort. Warm&clean pools. We love this place! The only disappointment was the beach. It has been dirty, muddy and full of seaweeds. We were told that this is normal for this season..unfortunately nobody has mentioned it before neither we have seen it in any reviews :( As a result beach is almost empty. We went for some trips and enjoyed nice beach elsewhere….but shame we could not have it at the hotel. There are no ATMs around so bring enough EUR or USD….and a suncream..the sun is really sharp!

The services are excellent. The rooms are very spacious and airy. The resort itself is very clean with meticulously maintained gardens. The beach is breathtaking. The downsides: Food: If you're a vegan, there will be very little for you to eat outside of salads, fresh fruit, boiled vegetables and the occasional beans in red sauce (unclear if those are actually vegan). Traveler's diarrhea is a risk, make sure you bring medicine. I got ill on day 5. Not seriously, but enough to require a day of rest and bland food for a couple of days. Murky water: the water in front of the resort was often muddy -- it rained some and there's a creek that empties into the bay. At times the creek smelled like sewage. I would highly recommend walking further away where there's a beautiful reef with crystal clear water.

The property is nice looking. But it’s more about the looks than the value with this resort. The decor leads you to believe you are in a 5 star hotel, but the air con in the room is tiny, the room was never cold. The all inclusive buffet has lots of options however the taste is lacking. This hotel services primarily an Italian population however all Italian dishes were average at best. Staff moves super slow. I spent my birthday at the resort and booked a private beach side dinner. The pasta I got was super hard to chew (it was not al dente, I have eaten myway through Italy), I ordered a chocolate cake and Malagasy birthday song. I got a vanilla cake with English singing. I was disappointed. The beach is super nice, they have security guarding the salespeople off.

Hotellchefen gjorde min vistelse och va trevlig, bjöd på transfer och uppgraderad. Tack ! Rummen e fina och allt känns nytt, trevlig personal, städning av rummet slarvigt .. missade saker varje dag, glömde städmaterial på rummet, låg metalldelar på golvet i duschen 4 dagar, buffén e stor och maten sisådär.. pizzorna såg goda ut men va oftast för kalla, uppskattade att ala carte lunch ingick. Bra solstolar på stranden, men för att va på Madagaskar är allt överlag bra absolut

Lhotel est magnifique en face de la meilleure plage de nosy be; le personnel super sympa a lecoute toujours...lanimation au top...nous sommes de Tananarive et franchement nous avons passé un sejour super agréable.
