Historic Cow Palace Inn

The did put us on the first floor like requested. The breakfast was delicious. The staff were great! The beds were comfy. We ate lunch there, and it was really good.

We would have had to request more towels if everyone would have showered - we said there would be 4 adults there.

When I travel, I don't like to stay at franchise places so we gave this place a go. We loved it. The atrium was beautiful. Breakfast was good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. The beds and pillows were perfect. I think I had the best sleep of my life

We originally had a room on the 1st floor and the AC wouldn't come on. They offered us a second room but it smelled musty. They then upgraded us to the suite which was perfect. SO I am saying what I didn't like - was that some of the rooms smelled musty. That is the only thing I can find about this hotel I didn't like.

Breakfast was mediocre. It was fine, but not exceptional. The food in the restaurant was delicious!

No bedside light on both sides of the bed. The room had an unpleasant odor. We bought air freshener at WalMart. No kleenex, note pad, or information about the hotel or Lamar area. Only one cup provided for coffee.

Everything was fair.

The fan in the bathroom was very noisy, and I could not turn it off.

Thomas was very personable, he showed us where to park and where our room was instead of just telling us Breakfast was provided, which was a surprise, since the website said it wasn't. Good atmosphere, and interesting decor inside of building
