The Hills Residence

I love the location of the hotel, it's located steps from restaurants, grocery stores, and a bakery. You get an amazing view of the marina from the balcony. The apartment is beautifully decorated.

Our towels were never changed and our check-in was delayed even though we arrived post check-in time. They also don't give hand soap to wash your hands so we had to use the shampoo they gave us.

Did had not had breakfast , was that in the facilities ( on the properties)? Or your talking about the restaurant in the area ?. I loved the view ...beautiful especially at night that's why I picked " the hills.residence"

The room was not clean at all , all rooms were dirty . The room was suppose to have a sofa bed, and that room did not . It was a sofa ( no pull out bed) and small ( couldn't o even call it a sofa bed for mistake).

It's a new property and they are still getting the kinks out. The staff were not so dependable in following up on things. There were only enough towels for two of the three of us. And even through there were three of us, the pull-out couch was not prepared and we had to ask them for sheets. There were no pillows or blankets provided for the couch.

The Hills Residence is a brand new complex with 4 separate buildings build into a very steep hill overlooking amazing views of the bay/harbor and beautiful hillside in St Marten. The 1 BR we staying in appeared brand new and was a very nice room with an amazing view. Each building had rooftop pool and hot tub which was also excellent. Location was great, but a car is highly recommended to get around the island and also needed because as mentioned the buildings are built into a very steep hill. Overall it is a good spot.

This is a brand new complex and the staff/logistics could use some improvement as they continue to get settled. For example we requested a crib multiple times through both our reservation, conversation thru WhatsApp and at check-in all confirming they would have a crib for us. They did not bring us one our first day until after 10pm when our child was already asleep in our bed, which was not ideal. We also requested extra towels multiple times and it took over 2 days to get these towels. This complex comes off more as an apartment building where they expect you to fend for yourself rather than a hotel with staff who can help you, so keep that in mind. Also as mentioned these buildings are built into a very very steep hill, so while you can walk up and down into your room a car is highly recommended as it is a very steep walk.

I like how central it was. It was close to lots of shops. Especially Captains Rib Shack which was nice. It had great views from the living room and also the rooftop.

The service was a bit below par. No towels in the room so had to request specifically and it took a while to get it. There was a gentleman at the reception who was really helpful though. Shame I forgot his name.
