TEA TAHITI Holidays

Tucked down a suburban alleyway between a petrol station and a supermarket, Tea Tahiti is an unpretentious guesthouse, but it has everything you need – walking distance from the port and city centre; friendly, helpful staff; simply decorated rooms with air conditioning, comfortable beds, ensuite bathroom, fridge, microwave, kettle and utensils; outdoor furniture and a swimming pool; onsite car hire and transfers. Our airport transfer for a 4am flight was no problem and reasonably priced. On the downside, the view is of neighbouring buildings and the car yard, reception has limited hours, and the gardens are not very well established. But with the occasional dogs barking, geckos chirping, the rooster crowing and the chickens pecking round our feet as we sat by the pool, it felt like an authentic slice of Tahitian life.

Great value, handy location and lovely staff.

Arrived at the hotel and left. Mold in the shower. In disrepair. Grounds were reminiscent of an abandoned property with the car rental agency.

The staff was helpful, more than making up for any other deficit, whether real or perceived.

Tidy accommodation with two large, comfortable beds. Convenient location in Papeete. It was an overnight stay for us before heading to Moorea and was excellent for that.

Overall was a very friendly experience. We arrived later than planned but the friendly staff saw us to our rooms. We also found the staff for our rental vehicle very helpful, pricing is very reasonable. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiet space in the centre if town.

Maybe a list of eating facilities close by. We found a nice Chinese restaurant across the road was a bonus find. There is also a well stocked gas station close by for little items.

Affordable and nice having a pool. It is older but tidy and clean and very spacious. Very good for stays prior to going out to the islands.

The staff is what made it special. We had electrical problems but they let us use another room’s kitchen until it was fixed. They have snorkels to borrow and other beach toys. The pool is very nice. Our balcony was great where we spent most of our room time.
