"Coconut palms"

Bed was comfortable and clean. Price was reasonable. Store close by. Some of the staff nice, helpful.

First 3 nights was very stuffy, hot. Fan only works if light in on, no aircon. No fridge. Shower takes a long time for hot water, heads need replacing. They upgraded my room after 3 nights which was good and spend the next 4 nights with aircon. Dirty used slippers left in rooms for guests to use. Tv in chinese, and fan remote. Out dated magazines in room. Owner seemed rude and not friendly. Couldn't pay with digital card. wifi cuts out often. Noisy neighbourhood, roosters crowing all night, dogs barking. Hard to sleep, bring earplugs. Lack of communication between staff. I arrived with no vatu so used 50 aud as deposit. Stayed first week, and decided to book a second week. I checked out at around 10 30 am and handed my key back, to morning reception staff member. I tell her to re-use the same initial 50 aud deposit, from my first week, she accepts but she didn't write me a reciept. I leave my bags with her and head in to town and return to check in around 2 or 3pm. A different staff member is there - the afternoon receptionist is there to check me in again. She takes me to my new room. A few nights went by and I was approached by the afternoon reception staff member that checked me in at 2pm/3pm telling me I didn't leave a deposit for the room. She insisted I was in the wrong. The next day I checkout with the morning reception staff member to check me out and she gave me my $50 cash deposit back. So instead of communicating to other staff or going to check if my deposit was there she just accused me of not paying the deposit. The next day she said 'now you remember?' like she was still right even though I had already got my deposit back. Hard to get in and out as you have to go through reception. I try to go outside early in the morning and security was asleep. Woke him up, he opened front door and locked it again. 5 -10 mins later I try to get back in I knock, but security asleep.

3rd week here, my room wouldn't get hot water the whole time. Only a trickle of water with no pessure coming out of shower head, only luke-warm. No fresh towels available for 2 days as they were wet. Tv in chinese, remote too, fan goes off when light turned off. No fridge, noisy neigbourhood with roosters crowing all night and dogs barking nonstop. Also sounds from casino, non stop beeping all night and day. Some staff were nice, and helpful sometimes. Rooms need updating, renovating, improving and repairing. Lack of self catering options as no cooking facilities or bbq on grounds and no cooking setup in the room.

Rooms only serviced if you drop key off at reception. Took a full day to service room and I got back and only the bed changed, nothing else cleaned. Also my screen in my bathroom was missing on return and window and door to balcony left opened while raining, with my posessions inside. Often times no towels available as they weren't dry. When requesting services sometimes all the items requested don't arrive. No fridges, loud neigbourhood with roosters crowing all night and dogs barking constantly. Reception accused me of not leaving deposit, Instead of communicating with other staff. First week was fine, gave $50, got receipt. I decided to book a second week, Checked out with one morning reception staff member and transfered my same initial $50 note for deposit that I used for my first week and used it for the second week. She didn't write me a reciept for the deposit, or inform afternoon reception staff of this. I left my bags, came back later and checked in with different reception staff member (afternoon). Afternoon Reception staff member said to me one night, "you didn't leave deposit", I told her I did and she said "no I checked you in remember"? She wanted to argue that I was wrong. When I checked out the next day with the morning reception staff member there was my cash deposit and I got my $50 aus note back. Tv is in chinese, remote in chinese, fan remote in chinese. Owner rude, angry when being let into hotel late at night or early morning.

Lots No wifi in the reception Wifi in my room was weak and unreliable The bathroom mirror was so high up I could barely see my face and there was no mirror in the room I had no local money for the room and deposit the night I arrived and they took USD 2,250 as deposit for a USD 104 room. Talk about exploitation. One would have thought that was ok but they kept knocking on my door to ask for the local money as if I could manufacture local money from my room Their vibe just wasn’t good
