Bobocabin Gunung Rinjani, Lombok

We headed to Bobocabin from Bangsal Port, and the journey took about 3 hours by MPV. I didn’t sleep the whole way, the views were absolutely amazing! When we arrived at Bobocabin, the scenery took my breath away. It was a bit chilly since it’s located at a higher elevation above sea level, but that just made it feel even more refreshing. From the cabin, you can see Mount Rinjani straight ahead, absolutely spectacular. The staff at Bobocabin were super friendly, and you can rent a motorcycle to visit Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep Waterfalls, which are about an hour away. There’s plenty of local food available here and you can also buy very affordable items for a barbecue or steamboat. The cabin itself was modern, spotless, and cozy. I already miss it so much!

Loved my stay here! Woke up to an amazing view of Mt. Rinjani from Cabin 2 where I stayed. A great place if you want to have BBQ as well, even though I didn’t, I saw my neighbours doing it and it looked like so much fun! Would be a 10/10 if the bathroom had better ventilation or had an exhaust fan. Overall would recommend this place to stay in Sembalun!

Great location! Just a few minutes drive away to nearest convenience stores/restaurants as well as all the hills and mountains in Sembalun. Also got the scenic viewn of Mount Rinjani right from our cabin window.

Stayed there during bad weather. Basically got locked up in the cabin due to the heavy rain and the room got quite smelly cause of the poor drying of the wet towels. So bringing some air freshener would help.

Stayed at Bobocabin and honestly, it was disappointing. -The room was for 4 people but only came with 1 pillow each, which felt inadequate. -The cabin itself is way too small for 4 pax. For locals coming for a short vacation, it might be enough, but for tourists or travelers with big lugagges, the room feels really cramped. I wouldn’t recommend it for more than 2 people, even though they advertise it with 2 beds. -The bathroom was tiny, had no bidet, and the toilet wasn’t properly cleaned when we checked in. Not ideal at all. -No TV or projector in the room, which was unexpected. The fire setup isn’t included in the room rate, so that’s an extra charge. -Their app is pointless since they still give out manual keys.
