Great spot... located next to the best bakery

The hotel is newly built in the past 3 years. It has everything one needs for a great vacation. Friendly staff, workout gym, spa, restaurant and breakfast included to get your day started right. The staff greeted us with a smile and help us in both French and English

Breakfast was consistently tasty and sufficient. Staff was without exception friendly and accommodating! The harbour view was serene and striking. Just down the road we could see the seals basking on the rocks.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

We had two reservations, in two different rooms. Room 11, the only Superior Room, was nice, but not special. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower and bathroom were good. There was no balcony in this room. The very accommodating woman at the front desk allowed us to change rooms to Room 3, a Junior Suite, early in our second day there, instead of insisting we wait until 3PM, This room was excellent, and had a table and well-equipped kitchenette, including microwave, to allow us to prepare meals. The view of the port from our balcony made up for the fact that any trip into town took 15-20 minutes by foot.

There was a bit of a communication deficit with the staff: we were not informed that the dining room was closed for dinner on Sunday, nor were we advised to make reservations for dinner in town earlier in the day. There are several restaurants, but they were all booked up when we, having found out that the hotel restaurant was closed on Sunday, tried to find a place to eat in town that night. In the hotel's defense, the dining room hours are posted in the elevator, but we missed the fine print about the restaurant not operating seven days a week. The spa does have a sauna, but, unlike most other hotels we have stayed in, where saunas can be reserved for free, it would have cost us 20 euro to use this one. Finally, the breakfast was pretty rudimentary, for a hotel of this caliber.

What a beautiful room! We also enjoyed the horses out front! We had the pleasure of having a from that faved the bay. No.11. Got to watch all the shops come into the bay and the city at night.

I can’t think of anything other than we should have followed our instincts and left the property at 0600, gotten to the bakery, then go to the ferry terminal. We almost missed the ferry because we left at 0630, per the suggested time by the driver. The gal at the ferry office was not happy with us! Bit we made it and took some croissants to the ferry terminal ladies in Fortune. They were the ones who told us about the bakery right across from the ferry terminal. But they sell out fast.

Awesome place but we missed the Air conditioner!
