"Very disappointed"

4.0

Shuttle driver was excellent. Initially greeted by a very helpful receptionist

No air conditioning. Probably the most expensive hotel on the island and no a/c. Breakfast was poor. Ran out of yogurt one day, ran out of granola the next. The scrambled eggs were left to dry out in the buffet pan and when I pointed it out to the staff the cook just came out and stirred them up to make them look better. I don’t mind paying top dollar for a room but I expect top notch accommodations and attention to detail.

"Clean & Comfortable"

8.0

Exceptionally clean. Comfortable & well appointed rooms. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Special thanks to Kris Jones who went out of his way to enhance our stay.

Garden view? Actually view of back parking lot and hospital. Pricey for the room & location. Accommodation in Saint Pierre is very limited so expect rates are based on supply and demand.

This hotel was absolutely amazing. They were extremely hospitable and kind. The weather was not very good when we arrived. They provided games and activities books for the kids. They were able to help us navigate the different culture of the area. The breakfast was amazing. Pierre and Emilee were fantastic!

"Beautiful, modern hotel."

10.0

I’m going to write a step by step review of my visit to St. Pierre, because I couldn’t find much info before I went. We visited St Pierre May 29-June 1, 2024. I pre booked the ferry to SPM, and requested parking as well. The cost is $45 each way on the ferry, and the ferry ride is 1.5 hrs. We drove from St. John’s to Fortune in 3.5 hrs. We didn’t stay overnight in fortune. You have to turn off in Goobies to go to Burin Peninsula. The ferry is new & clean, with an area to buy snacks onboard. You have to do customs in Fortune. I found the ferry office a little obscure to find. At the ferry office, you can also pay to park your car at a lot in Fortune. The owners of the parking lot will shuttle you to & from the parking lot to the ferry, the cost was $18/day. In order to bring your car , you have to purchase insurance at Customs in St. Pierre. NL insurance won’t cover you over there. You go through immigration or customs in St Pierre as well. I had reserved the hotel shuttle to pick us up at the ferry terminal for 8 euros. We stayed at Terrasses du Port. It is a beautiful, new hotel. One of the nicest I’ve ever stayed.I booked the executive suite with ocean view, which was nice. The suite had 2 separate bedrooms, a kitchenette, and living room area. The beds were king size & very comfortable. It was clean , and housekeeping came daily. There was a continental style breakfast included, consisting of pastries, juices, coffee, charcuterie & I believe cereal. Breakfast was served until 10:30 or 11:00. There is a bakery next door, which we visited often. They had a wide selection of delicious pastries. The main shopping areas & restaurants are within walking distance(15 mins). You need to bring an adapter & a converter for your hair straighteners. They have USB ports to charge your devices. Hairdryers are provided. We ate at 2 restaurants, les p’tits Graviers SAS and Le Select. Both very good, but you need to premake reservations. You can do this through Facebook Messenger. We also visited the bar, Le Rustique. The hotel also has a restaurant, we attempted eating there but they had a fixed menu of all lobster dishes this particular day, and not everyone in our party liked lobster, so the hotel staff found another restaurant for us on short notice. The next day was very rainy, the museum was closed for renovations. So we opted to do a tour of the island with a taxi driver by the name Salomon. For $45 or 60 euros, ( I can’t remember) he took us on a 1.5 hr tour. He was very knowledgeable about the history of St. Pierre & Miquelon. You can contact him through Facebook messenger or the tourism office in St. Pierre. The next day we left on the ferry, 2 nights was sufficient to experience the rich French culture & enjoy the delicious food & wine, we really enjoyed our stay. The people were very nice & friendly. You don’t need to know French but it helps. It really is a hidden gem. They should advertise more, I couldn’t believe how little signage & advertisement there was. We saw whales & puffins while on the ferry. I didn’t find the ferry rides rough at all.
