Flat 2 - The Old Mill - Bowbridge Lock - Stroud

Everything was great, the look of the flat the appliances all worked great and the location was fantastic

Nothing it was fine

Quaint old mill in a nice location by a waterway. Hosts had tried to make the stay comfortable by having helpful items on hand such as condiments and tea towels.

Terrible ventilation in the property, very musty smell and condensation on walls and windows. Our stay was during a dry and warm couple of days so it was not due to weather. We tried to operate the heaters to dry out the moisture in the room but couldn’t get it working and were unable to contact the owners whiles in the rooms as there was no internet. So we could only get the messages when we were out. That was a bit frustrating.

Beside the canal. Lovely for evening walks. Bedroom and bathroom separated from kitchen and eating area. Nice galley kitchen with adequate equipment.

Drawers didn’t open and close easily on chest in bedroom and mirror placed on top was completely in the dark. Seating area very small and too close to television. Not a very efficient heating system or heated towel rail. Condensation on windows in bedroom and damp smell. One bedside cabinet had not been cleaned so had to dust it myself

We had a great little trip. We spoke to the hosts on the phone and they were friendly and helpful. Great location

It was a shame you had to go around the back of the property to get to the outdoor space - no direct way from the apartment

Quality fittings and handy for the area.

Needed better airing and the lighting was too dim.

Very well equipped and a range of breakfast cereals and milk tea and coffee a nice touch

The location was perfect being 3-4mins from our friends, with private parking and right next to the canal & towpath

Points already passed on directly: 1) Add a threshold step at the main entrance to avoid a potential trip hazard in an emergency evacuation. 2) Add a safety access handrail to the bath/shower at the sloping end. 3) Investigate a suspect bit of floor in the kitchen, under the vinyl floor covering.
