"Comfortable and cosy, a home away from home"

The home was spacious and comfortable, with a pleasant back garden. We we traveling with a group (but booked accommodation independently) and so had no car; however, it was only a 15-20 minute walk into the centre of town, and the supermarkets were nearby. The neighbourhood itself was quiet, and we even slept through some serious weather! So it was a cosy and relaxing base to return to at the end of a long and busy day.

No suggestions for improvement, it met all our needs.

"A wonderful spot, and a warm and accommodating host."

The house is in a convenient location for exploring Kirkwall and wider Orkney by foot and public transport. We didn’t have a car and found it easy to get around to main sights and indeed to organise ferries to other islands in Orkney. The house is very comfortable, clean, and Samantha’s communication was prompt, detailed and friendly. It is nicely decorated, well equipped in the kitchen/bathroom, and was quite spacious for the three of us.

The dining area in the kitchen is a little cramped, but as we were out and about a lot it didn’t bother us too much.
