HHZib, homestay on a hill in the heart of Seoul - 'BEST SEOUL STAY 2024-25' by Seoul

I was second time at Hyunjoo's place and as always this place is one of the best Airbnb's places I stayed in my life! If you looking for place to stay for a week or short time then do not look other places then his! The view in the morning on the bridge and city with fresh air and some coffee is all worth it! For me personally this place feels almost like home and all thanks to his amazing place and his amazing hospitality! See you soon again :) Toni from Germany

Location and overall experience was nice. I enjoyed the place.

Somehow it feel really weird cheking in with only access codes, email and what'sapp contact, seeing no-one in person alive and meet other guests later during my stay. I missed a personal touch of the owner/host to come and greet me. But hey, if you're not into that, the place is nice, clean and comfortable for a good price.

You will feel at home here. It's so cozy! I loved how homey the place is. It's so beautifully decorated and it feels like you're a welcomed guest in a loved home. The bed is SOOOO comfortable. I slept so good! It's my ideal room. At first, I thought it was small, but its actually perfect. I wish I spent more time here. It would be perfect for a long stay. And the window in the bedroom is just perfect. The bathrooms are very nice and modern as well. The kitchen is also gorgeous and the host has stocked shareable items like milk, water filter jug, and juices. So nice! Free washer and dryer was an excellent touch as well. Please don't hesitate to book here!

It's not really a complaint, but Korean style towels are so small. Sometimes I needed to use three at a time, so just be aware of this as international guests you might not be used to small body towels.

The place is very cozy and very clean! The owner is super kind and has everything prepared for your stay. From all the needs in the house to all information you need to get to the property, transports, recommended to eat and visit.

where do i even begin! this was my second stay at HHZIB and it was definitely a different experience and almost a year apart from the last. they made many small improvements to shared spaces and really paid attention to the details of the home. the home is as clean as ever and they still use the same luxuriously scented amenities (soaps and all~) there's everything you need and more. i love using their kitchen. they provide such a nice spread of breakfast staples and the kitchen is fully-functioning and so easy to whip up a meal. they also make recycling really easy with the bins at the lift lobby. this neighbourhood is so quiet,, but not scary (as a woman). it's very much picturesque and a sight to behold each morning walking down the hill to get the day started. they provide a nice list of recommendations in the vicinity and for other tourist spots as well. there's a nice little whiskey bar in the neighbourhood! the hosts are such a joy >< they noted that the thermostat was a little cold (20c) for someone like me who comes from a tropical country (average 30c daily temp). so they dropped me a text to remind me where the thermostat is (though i enjoyed the temp as is ahahah it's the thought that counts) also,, they gifted me a set of korean cutlery as it was my second stay and that's such a nice practical keepsake. as long as i can afford,, i will return ^^

Super cute and modern homestay in a very nice neighbourhood. Chung Ann University area is not too busy, not too quiet. There are several places to go to eat and drink, and the public transport is very accessible. Facilities are great. Two bathrooms so you only share with one other person. A cosy lounge, and a full kitchen with many amenities. Sooho the host I interacted with is lovely, very responsive and has the best recommendations. Recommended spots are provided via a helpful site! Scenery pics are from one of the spots, very close walk from homestay. The weekend cafe Lee&Hong also worth a visit for coffee lovers.

A few intuitive things would be welcome: a tea towel and a bench cloth in the kitchen. A hand towel in the bathroom (I just left one of my clean body towels hanging in there.) A squeegee by the shower as the water pressure is so good that it can get water everywhere. Everything is so thoughtful and wonderful which is why these small things would make the stay perfect! Oh, the hill is steep but the incline only lasts 5min, the alley itself is flat. With luggage, just get a taxi/Uber, no problem. It's so worth it.

This place was a home away from home. So calming to come back here after the days travels. The host was so lovely and knowledgeable about the area, ready to share the list of things to do and good places to eat at. The best place to stay in Seoul.

The owner of this Guesthouse is probably the nicest most considerate person that I have ever met! I have stayed for two weeks and it felt like I have stayed for at least a year. Hospitality as not seen everywhere else and not to mention that daily questions about what I have done so far on my trip coming up with recommendations and tips for someone travelling first time in Seoul and most importantly just the really good person with curiosity about your home country/and life in general! I will be coming to Mr. Hyunoo for sure again! Until next time 😊. The place has amazing view over the city skyline and just really nice location as it's really quiet especially in night. If you are coming with a lot of luggage I recommend you to take a cab to his place as it is on the hill and you will walk at least some 10min from the station up to him.
