R & R Chalet at Mt. Rainier

The location is great

It was dirty. I have photos of the thick dirt and dog hair in shower and I had to clean the shower as there were orange stains and dirt as the shower had clearly not been properly cleaned. There was also dog hair everywhere including in all the radiators and loads in the tumble dryer vent. The fridge was dirty as was the oven and there was a packet of crisps and tshirt from the people who had stayed in it before. Not nice and considering we paid $ 100 for a cleaning fee was somewhat surprising. I spent 40 minutes cleaning and it still felt uncomfortable for us as other people's dirt is very off putting.

I had an amazing stay at this Chalet! The space was impeccably clean and absolutely beautiful, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. The host was incredibly attentive and quick to respond to any questions, making the whole experience seamless and stress-free. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-maintained place!

Location was great. Lovely little wooded residential neighborhood. Cute and safe. Living space was comfortable and although we didn't use the TV or movies, there were DVDs and nice TV available. Appreciated the good wifi as there was no cell service. Bathroom had cozy towels, plenty of them, and shower supplies (soap, shampoo)

Visitors should be aware that the stairs to the main bedroom are super steep and could be unsafe for older folks, people who have mobility challenges or young children. Heat was set to 61 degrees upon our arrival at dinner time. Took all night for the place to warm up. Wore coats inside until next day. Could have used a bedside table in the downstairs bedroom. We moved a chair into that room each nite.

The house was decorated with great taste, and it was really cosy! Also the location is perfect for whomever wants to be close enough to Rainier. We checked in pretty late and as a result were not stuck in the line of people waiting to get into the park.

Need more detail on how to work the heat thermostat and also the wood stove.
