R & R Chalet at Mt. Rainier

This place is conveniently located near the entrance to Mt. Rainier Paradise Corridor. The owners paid attention to every detail in this unit: powerful mobile AC units, which did a great job cooling it down, a fully equipped kitchen, and more than enough linen and towels to fit a group of up to 4 people (like ours).

The place is not clearly marked. We passed it and then had to go back and guess we were at the right place based on the signs of the next-door properties. The shower is equipped with new-looking shampoo and soap dispensers, but they dispense frustratingly small amounts each time. It would have been nice to have two more dining-table height chairs (for a total of four). The queen bed is on the second floor and requires climbing up steep stairs. There is only one bathroom in the property, on the ground floor.

We all slept very comfortably and had everything we needed. We enjoyed sitting outside before we went out for dinner. It was very clean and the owners were very responsive.

Charming little chalet. Loved the ease of accessing the property, the wood burning stove, big comfortable bed. Nice ambiance. The hosts provided great information prior to our arrival.

No complaints! The Wi-Fi wasn’t great, but the hosts warned us in advance. There were only two dining chairs, so I would suggest adding a couple more (we are a family of four). Everything was clean and well-stocked.
