Geräumige Wohnung, vollständige Einrichtung, problemloses Einchecken dank Schlüsseltresor. Ruhige Lage. Parkplatz am Haus.

Betten waren frisch bezogen, Handtücher neu. Küche und Bad an wichtigen Stellen optisch sauber. Alles ohne direkten Kontakt staubig bis schmutzig. Die Reinigungskraft sollte viel mehr Zeit bekommen Fensterrahmen innen teilweise zerfallend, funktionsuntüchtig. Ecken und Fenster mit Spinnweben. Viel Teppichboden fraglich gesaugt. Haus steht zum Verkauf, es wird wohl nichts mehr in die Wohnung investiert. Außen einzelne Zelte auf Grünflächen.

Leider nichts.

Die Umgebung war sehr baufällig. Wäre die Wohnung gut gewesen, hätte man darüber hinweg sehen können. ABER: - das Sofabett war kaputt und durchgelegen. Eine Tatsache, die schon im April von einem anderen Mieter angemerkt wurde. Auf unseren Hinweis hin tat der Vermieter sehr überrascht. Aber er kam innerhalb von 1,5 Stunden und hat es versucht zu reparieren. Keine Ahnung, ob er es geschafft hat - wir sind abgereist. Denn das Sofabett war nicht das einzige Manko… - es roch unsauber in der Wohnung. Ein Blick auf die Fenster konnte einen Hinweis geben. An einigen Fenster (alle übrigens einfach verglast) saß im Rahmen Schimmel. Die Farbe am Rahmen splitterte teilweise schon ab. - die Küche war definitiv schon länger nicht gesäubert worden. Auf der Abzugshaube war eine Fettschicht, der Backofen und Toaster waren ebenfalls fettig. - das Geschirr war nicht wirklich sauber, wir wollten alles vor der Nutzung spülen, haben aber keinen Stöpsel für die Spüle gefunden. - im Wohn-/Esszimmer fehlte ein Rollo, so dass wir anfangs nur ein Fenster verdunkeln konnten. Das Dachfenster hatte überhaupt keine Verdunkelungsmöglichkeit, so dass wir ein Handtuch davor geklebt haben. Wir fanden das andere Rollo dann übrigens im Abstellraum. Hier waren auch die Bettsachen für das Sofabett. Es roch allerdings alles etwas muffig. - das Bad war auch nicht wirklich sauber. Die Flüssigseife war mit Wasser verdünnt worden… Ich kann jedem nur davon abraten, diese Wohnung zu buchen. Wir sind nach einer Nacht abgereist, wollten eigentlich drei Nächte dort bleiben.

Bon emplacement et place de parking gratuite. Logement spacieux.

Logement vétuste, pas assez de vaisselle, canapé lit non fait pour 2 personnes et en mauvais état.

The key didn't have a number on it so we didn't know what flat it was we had to ask a neighbour to help us, the foyer smelt musty and dirty it almost put us off,

Großes Appartment im Dachgeschoss mit modernem Fernseher und sehr gutem WIFI. Gastgeber Keith hat schnell reagiert, als bei der Anreise die Frage aufkam, um welche Appartmentnummer es sich handelt. Das wurde vorher nicht kommuniziert bzw. war auch kein Anhänger mit entsprechender Info am Schlüssel.

Sauber war es oberflächlich, aber als ich die viel zu große Anti-Rutschmatte in der Wanne neu ausrichten wollte, war ich geschockt von dem braunen Spak darunter. Auch die Teppiche (z.B. im Schlafzimmer oder der in der Küche) waren krümelig. Hier die typisch englische Bausubstanz, wo schon länger nix gemacht wurde (einfach verglaste Fenster z.B., die auch zum Teil stark verrottet waren). Auch die Rollos im Schlafraum funktionierten nicht.

Not super suitable for 4 adults, ok for one night though. Good overall.

This property requires a full renovation and a new cleaner. I have attached photos.

The flat was clean, and being on the second floor was light. The kitchen was as described and adequate. Having off street parking was handy.

Although the listing says 'up to 4 people', this place is really only suitable for a couple (with maybe a young child). The sofa bed in the lounge room was very small and uncomfortable. If this sofa bed was replaced by a more modern, comfortable version it would be a big improvement. Also, better communication regarding where the linen for the sofa bed is would be appreciated. Also warning for elderly people: there are a lot of stairs to climb, being on the second floor.

The apartment itself was good value for money, the location was central enough for everything we needed, local supermarket is very close if you needed anything. host was quick to respond

the location of the property is quite messy, lots of rubbish everywhere, the entrance to the apartment would benefit from a clean. even though the apartment was clean it could also do with some minor tlc

I booked this apartment for myself and a friend. On arrival the key was easily located but nowhere in the property description did it say we would be up 4 flights of stairs, in addition the flat number wasn't listed. We guessed we were on the top floor from photos but had to knock on both upstairs flats to find out which was ours. First impression was the smell of old cooking, tea and coffee supplies consisted of open jars of tea coffee and powdered milk of indeterminate age. We tried to open the sofa bed, no success so we contacted the owner for advice,. No real help but the offer of another call if we couldn't do it. Eventually it was unfolded but was clearly broken at the foot end. Bed linen was found but no quilt. The sofa bed isn't fit for purpose.as I had to sleep squashed in the top half as the foot end collapsed with any weight. Day 2 we arrived back at 10.45pm but the front door key wouldn't work, another call to the owner who said he wasn't local so wasn't sure what to do. Eventually we had to knock on the window of another flat and scare to death the poor young girl who lived there. Once in the bed became more unusable. No sleep again. Second morning we were surprised by the flat door opening at 8.55 and the cleaner walking in despite the fact check out was until 11am. She said the owner had said it was ok to come and get it done early. I've never written a review for accommodation before but was shocked at this place, it was £80 per night for a property that looked like cheap student digs with broken essential furniture, very tired decoration and very minimal facilities
