Alobar1000 Hostel

We came to Alobar Hostel twice during our stay in Nepal and really enjoyed it. The private rooms (which we stayed in twice) are very spacious, well equipped, clean and had everything we needed. The staff was super helpful and friendly, supported us with taxi bookings and were happy to answer all the questions we had. The location of Alobar is perfect, in the middle of Thamel with a lot of restaurants, cafes, shops and things to see around the corner. I can wholeheartedly recommend it as a great place to stay in Kathmandu.

Good facilities and perfect location!

Clean rooms, staff was always pleasant, solid restaurant. A decently social hostel, but definetly not the most social one I've been to.

The beds were a bit narrow, the showers take a long time to heat up.

Excellent accommodation for the value of money. The staff are very well behaved, nice cozy restaurant, the Milk chai was the best Chai in Nepal for me.

Not really a big deal but there is no light in the bed to read.

Reception wasn’t professional (young lady)

The hostel has a chill vibe. There are multiple hangout areas, and a cafe with good coffee. The reception and the cleaning staff is quite friendly. I have been staying here for a couple of weeks and most days have been quite pleasant. Occasionally, there are some guests leaving early in the morning which is a but inconvenient, but overall a great place to stay in Kathmandu.

Nothing
