The Island 4 br (9th Floor)

Awaiting our annual anniversary trip to Island Vista to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We have been visiting Island Vista for 18 years. We only meant go once but completely fell in love and look forward to it every year. It became our go to place. It is so relaxing. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. The property is well maintained. We are anxious awaiting our visit.

A beautiful place to stay. Housekeeping was amazing along with front deck personal. All very friendly and helpful. Will be back next winter

My wife and I stayed two days here and really enjoyed ourselves. We had a grand suite on the top floor. The weather cooperated for the most part but it was pretty foggy in the morning and evening. The suite had just about everything you could need including dish soap (but not laundry detergent). The beach is right there though they have two small pools and a jacuzzi.

Nice place to stay. It is clean, safe, and ocean front. There are several pools, some are heated, with a lazy river also heated, two spas, and towels located at the wet areas. We were there for two days.

We stay at this lovely resort every fall. I think this is our 6th or 7th stay. This visit we were fortunate enough to have a room on the penthouse level. The views were simply amazing. As always, the staff is excellent. We see the same staff every year which speaks volumes for the quality of the work environment. The beautiful suites, the excellent food and wines, the solitude of that beautiful stretch of beach keep us coming back every year. It is the highlight of our year and we can’t wait to return.

The pool area as well as common areas are in need of renovation. The staff is amazing and they work hard to maintain the property, however it’s time to replace and remodel and update pool furniture, pool deck. Unfortunately, for the second year we have had our beach chairs stolen while at the pool. Two of our chairs were taken this year while in the pool or hot tub. Finally and most concerning were the babies that were in the hot tub. On two occasions there were babies under 2 which is extremely dangerous for the baby and unsanitary for adults. One of the hot tubs had to be closed for an incident. I do understand this is the parent’s responsibility, however when they are not smart enough to keep the children out, SECURITY needs to enforce these rules for the patrons safety. Very sad after 18 years of vaccinations at Island Vista that will be the last time.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The beach and the pool area was awesome and the tiki bar had some yummy drinks. The rooms were spacious and comfortable! Would recommend!

The room was very clean and comfortable great view from the balcony. The biggest complaint and it may sound petty but the toilet paper was very rough, so much so that we went out and bought softer toilet paper. Also, the parking is very, very tight. Our car is not very big but it barely fit in the spaces.

The hotel is clean, and the staff are friendly. However, I was disappointed with the food. For the price, I was expecting something that tasted more like home-cooked meals, but unfortunately, it was just like typical hotel food. Even the coffee wasn’t complimentary.

Wonderful Vacation! Looking forward to going back next year! We stayed in a 3 Bedroom/3 Bath ocean front room which had incredible views. We ate several times in the restaurant which had great service & great food. I would highly recommend Island Vista to anyone!
