The view from this room is very beautiful and The room is very clean and very nice The people working here treated us very well, they are very nice, the surroundings are very beautiful The clothes in the room were very warm and helped me a lot with the cold,In the evening, little bit cold I think but after taking a hot bath here, it is good for the body I was able to look after a beautiful mountain range from here and I am very happy about that I was thinking of staying here for one day, but because of the freedom here, I stayed for 2 days The breakfast here was very tasty Here I highly recommend you to go and relax here

There's only one good room with a view.

We arrived at 5pm, the agreed time of our checkin. We stood outside in the cold rain because no one was there to let us in. After showing us our rooms (my friend and I in one room and our family members in a second room), the host asked for full payment in cash upfront (we booked 4 nights), even tho I thought it was strange I gave the host the money. After settling in, we discovered mold on the walls of the second room, we showed the host and asked for another room. We were hesitantly given the only good room in the place. The rooms were cold, the pillows on our beds were damp and felt greasy. The hot water in the showers turned off while taking a shower. The drain in the shower drained slowly and flooded the bathroom. The towels had stains, even the replacement ones. Afterall all that, we went out to get food and came back to our room to discover rat feces on our bed. During our night of misery, I made a complaint to the WhatsApp number and asked to be refunded as we weren't going to stay another night, got no response. But later, I got a notice from Booking that our reservation was canceled as a NO SHOW, very shady. We woke up very early to try and talk to the host since she had our full payment. Due to the lack of cleanliness, we informed them that we did not want any breakfast, but we're still served food we did not eat. The host finally agreed to refund all but one day. This was the worst experience I've had in Sri Lanka. The host, who was not a local, definitely lacked in Sri Lankan hospitality, was very cold, took no accountability for the state of their place, the only positive were the local helpers who tried their best.

Such a cozy place, rich with old-style charm, and friendly hosts. Amazing view of Lake Gregory up on a hill within walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and tea plantations. Nice trail around the lake as well, love it here!

Nothing to complain about here, the hosts were super-attentive and the house lived up to the previous reviews. It was quite chilly while there, so they made sure we had a super-warm heater in our room. Super-comfy bed, highly Rx!
