"Our two-night stay at the Chinese Suite December 2025"

We really enjoyed our two-night stay. The property is warm and cosy. We found our stay to be very relaxing. We loved that the property had two bedrooms, one en-suite, and a separate bathroom with a bath. The beds are very comfortable, and there were lots of additional pillows in the cupboard. We loved the layout of the property and found the living room a good size with a lovely retro table and benches. We also loved that the sofa could be converted into a bed, and there was an extra futon. There was plenty of crockery and cutlery for our stay. It was great to have a washing machine, and we really appreciated the allocated free parking space. Communication with the owner was excellent! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

The kitchen was adequate, but we felt the pots could do with an upgrade. We always try and leave any property neat, tidy, and just as we find it. We would have welcomed a dustpan and brush. It would have been great to have some cleaning products for the bathroom and a cloth to wipe down the sink. The property is lovely, but there was dust on the lamps and radiators. There is mould around the bath. This is an easy fix. The property could do with a deep clean and a bit of decorating.

"Never again - a big disappointment!"

Location is good

We had to pay an extra fee for checking-in 2 hours earlier - which is already questionable, but okay. However, the keys were not available at the pick-up location. It took several calls and the help of other people in the building to finally access the apartment. Then came the shock: the apartment was extremely dirty and had not been cleaned at all. The wet towels of the previous guests were still on the beds, the kitchen was messy and so on. Once again, it was difficult to get in touch with the owner as he refused to provide a WhatsApp number and several questions remained unanswered. Although the extra fee for the early check-in was eventually refunded and the cleaning was done later, no further compensation was offered. Charging for an early check-in fee and then being unable to honor the agreement - without even providing proper information in beforehand - is rude and unprofessional. Furthermore, the apartment had a mouldy smell, the toilet flushing did not work properly and the carpet was very old generally dirty/used. Unfortunately, this was the biggest disappointment I have experienced in all my years using booking.com and I cannot recommend booking this apartment at all.

"Disappointing"

Good location, easy walk to main areas of Birmingham and the train station. Bedding and towels clean, beds comfortable

Key collection - First collection code didn't work, took 20 mins to contact management team, arrived at apartments and we hadnt been given Block key, didn't get response on what to do for 90 mins making us late for arranged meal. Had to return to pick up point for new set of keys, not ideal in rain for 70yr old woman with no car. Apartment was tired and tacky. Rug in living area was a dangerous tripping hazard, stained carpets, grimey and mouldy shower and bath, dusty furniture and fittings, spillage in freezer, only 2 glasses for drinks, toilet roll holder missing, no handle to the shower door, Welcome Book was a QR code on a wall plaque, didn't see it for first 3 hours and then it didn't work! Contact with owners was fair but not fast enough when we had a problem. This was an alternative apartment (Japan Suite)to the one booked (Chinese Suite) as original had a gas leak. I can only assume that Japan Suite was due a refurb because it badly needs it. We were offered early and late checkout as recompense for the poor quality of our stay but neither were needed or used. My siblings and I stay in Birmingham on numerous occasions. This apartment was not worth what we paid for it. I don't like £150 being ring fenced as deposit either, took 5 days before it was accessible in my account.

"Superb! Would love to stay again"

This place was superb! Everything was super easy from finding the location, pick and drop off keys, private parking, nice and clean apartment, close to the town centre.

Please check your appliances before next guests arrive. Parking was great but people park randomly and not to their assigned apartments which was a tad annoying as i had to look for the numbers in the dark. Yes am petty 😆

La ubicación es muy buena. Un conjunto de apartamentos con una zona central para aparcar, cerca del centro de la ciudad y con un supermercado Tesco Express debajo del edificio con un amplio horario de apertura. Nos atendieron por mensajes a través de Booking todas las dudas que nos surgieron forma amable y rápida. La atención al cliente es muy buena.

1. Una vez abonado el importe del alojamiento a través de booking (sin reembolso) te indican que tienes que escanear tus documentos (sin protección de datos) y firmar un contrato predispuesto por ellos con unos importes elevados en caso de pérdidas de llaves etc. No queda mas remedio que aceptar. Es necesario abonar una fianza de 150 libras. 2. La limpieza del apartamento es deficiente. Uno de los baños olía muy mal. Y la moqueta estaba sucia y deteriorada en diversas zonas. 3. Nos cambiaron de apartamento el día de nuestra llegada, aduciendo razones de seguridad y el nuevo apartamento no tenía los servicios que contratamos y que aparecen en la web Netflix, dardos, juegos y el espacio era menor (éramos 7 y había una mesa para 4). Solicitamos un descuento y finalmente nos rebajaron algo el precio, pero deberían habernos informado de todo ello y ofrecernos la posibilidad de cancelar antes del cambio.
