Bats by the Sea at Number 23

Beautifully decorated (in our opinion) and comfy. Gothic ornaments but it doesn’t go over the top. This property has almost everything you want and is in an excellent location - close to the beach and close to a great pub. Friendly contact from the owners - a lovely place to stay.

Stairs!! Be prepared to get your steps in climbing stairs - every room is on a different floor. Could use a few more glasses, bedside lights / sockets and a toilet brush to make it 10/10 but these are minor niggles. There’s no garden but we knew this when we booked it so it’s our fault that we had to walk the dog late at night :)

It was great , very comfortable. Excellent location just round the corner to everything. Very lovely touch with the bread and biscuits, everything you wanted was here . Its a lovely place to stay, just like home.

Loved the love and thought that was put into it Lovely gothic vintage style, tastefully decorated. Very clean accomodation All facilities needed to make a comfortable stay. Fabulous location 2 mins from the front. The owners lovely and friendly, easy to contact if any problems. Would love to stay their again.

Nothing

The location of the property was perfect, with a short (but hilly) walk to the main strip/beach front. The house itself is beautiful and quirkly with a stunning view of the beach from the top roof window. Easy checkin with the keys being in a door box and we were lucky to find parking (which was free as you are given scratch cards to put on your dashboard). 10/10 !!

The pillows, but I'm extremely fussy and have Otty ones at home. So, anything other than those I find a bit uncomfortable.

Location, comfortable house. Great size kitchen. Two bathrooms, one with bath, one with shower. Amazing sea view from the top floor. Beautifully designed wallpaper and lots of beautiful artwork on the walls. Option to use coloured lights for effect in the basement. Plenty of extra items to keep us entertained during our stay. Welcome milk, bread and chocolate biscuits.

Less keen on the very dark aspects of the decor. But we knew about these beforehand and they weren't a huge problem. We had difficulty understanding how to use the microwave, which is very different to ours. Also struggled to use the washing machine and tumble drier, but I am sure these issues could be overcome. My husband found one of the sinks a bit tiny, but the other one was fine.

Yeah in a good location dog friendly very clean and tidy love the decor and owners were very welcoming.

Slight problem with parking as we were not in till late and it was full on allocated parking.

Bath was great but couldn’t rinse my hair as water stopped flowing. Had to move to downstairs shower.

Lovely quirky property, great decor and furnishings. Excellent location. Very clean. Cosy and comfortable. We were very pleased overall and had a great stay. Milk, biscuits, cereal etc on arrival.

Kitchen was functional but could have more cooking equipment and ancillaries ie cling film, foil etc.
