Everything was perfect

Location and check in was great. The house was clean and ready for us, I like everything about the house.

The unit was lovely, the view exceptional and the bed very comfortable The unit has great potential but needs to be adequately equipped.

There was no door on the bathroom! There was no kitchen dustbin (one was supplied the following day after asking for it). The kitchen and bathroom soap containers were both empty, which was unexpected - we did buy supplies the next day, but have never stayed anywhere that didn't provide these basics. There was minimal cutlery and crockery - only 2 of each cutlery and crockery, only 1 very small pot with no lid, and a colander. This was not close to sufficient for self catering purposes. The oven didn't work (and when reported, we only got a reply 3 hours later and no assistance during our 3 night stay). There was no bedding for the sleeper couch - luckily my friend and I didn't mind sharing a bed! On Saturday afternoon we arrived back at about 4pm, to find a bachelor's party in full swing on the communal lawn - this raged on through the night and was very unpleasant. We had to stay in our unit with windows and door closed to minimize the noise. I did report it, but nothing was done as the party people didn't answer their phones, and nobody was on site to attend to the huge disruption. The "fenced" propery had large gaps in places along the bottom of the fence (electric, but not connected), and we didn't feel very safe - especially as there were no staff on the premises.

The owner is very unwelcoming and nonchalant. I was supposed to leave the property before 06h00 am, however I ended up leaving something to 11h00 waiting for an iron and ironing board. The owner never bothered herself about this matter. I consequently was very late to where I was meant to go. When I requested for the iron and ironing board the previous night, I was told the helper who knew where they were was not around. Upon asking the owner to please phone the helper, I was told the helper did not have a phone and that I should go search for the key myself where the helper usually lock these. I searched and searched until I found the key. All this time, the owner was at the property with me but had the audacity to give instructions over the phone as to where I should look for the key. She was very uninterested and unbothered. After all this search, I managed to open the room where the iron and ironing board would 'normally' be, but they’re not found hence I had to wait till the following day for the helper to arrive, which meant I should be late to where I am headed to.

Quiet place, cleanliness, and open space.

Thy took time to email me the code for accessing the keys.
