Iceland SJF Apartments - 503

The bed and the apartment was a good sized space for 2 people and the view was decent. It did feel like we were in an industrial section of town but there was a hotel next door that had great food and service at the restaurant. I believe it was called Eyja.

I had a hard time figuring out how to turn the heat down. The room was really warm when we arrived. There are radiators around the room with numbered dials that I turned down. However, over the course of the evening the temperature continued to spike at intervals. Not a negative on the room, I think it was user error.

We want to thank you for a very lovely stay in Reijkjavik. We really enjoyed the appartment. We think it is one of the best places we have ever stayed! The communication was fantastic and everything was clean and well equiped. Location was also perfect.Thank you so much and hopefully we can come back another time. 10 out of 10!!!

Over a month before arrival I asked if could add an extra person - owner replied at 0630 am on day of arrival! Then demanded cash which I said I wouldn’t be able to get as we were travelling and then booked trips so had no time. Owner took the key out of key box so we couldn’t get in even though apartment was paid for 3 people, drove my husband to cash point for cash, made us late for sky lagoon. This could all have been avoided if a month before I could have paid him the extra when requested. Hostel round corner and wish extra person just gone there as much cheaper but I had already asked so he wanted the money. It was unhelpful and unpleasant. We were in apartment about 13 hours in total. Kitchen light didn’t work. He was also sexist, naturally assumed my husband had booked not me and had the money to pay!

The room facilities are modern, and the space is very good. It's a place you'll definitely want to come back to.

Lovely, well equipped, comfortable, modern apartment in good location easily walkable to central Reykjavik and main attractions. Easy to access the apartment with instructions from the host, who responded very promptly to our questions and we were able to access the apartment by lunchtime on arrival day which was really helpful. Nice balcony which gets the sun - we were able to sit outside in mid September. Free parking on the street outside.

The apartment was perfect for a couple and in a great location to get around Reykjavic. It was very clean with comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchenette. The WiFi was also exvellent. Sigurður (host) was very responsive and accommodating to our request for an early check-in. A bonus was a nice Icelandic restaurant across the street (Potturinn og Pannan). A wonderful stay.

Everything was great, no issues at all.
