The staff are so lovely, Takashi and Echo are so friendly and helpful, creating a very homely vibe. The location is a little secluded but nothing a free shuttle can't fix, and the food is delicious. Warm rooms with underfloor heating, and comfy beds. all the facilities I felt were needed, and a lot of personality inside the building! It's a very cool place to stay, especially in season when there are many others staying. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay guys!

"Great location, great hosts. Not the comfiest beds!"

They were a very friendly couple, we arrived from our hike and they got us a delicious lunch. The lodge was really cosy, felt like home and not a hotel. The location was spot on for hikers and skiers!

The beds were not comfortable - wasnt great if youre doing sports intensely and need a proper night sleep. No food/ restaurants during the ski off-season around, so we had to go to iiyama by bus. No option for breakfast was possible due to off-season again, making the price paid a bit expensive for what was possible.

"Nightmare in ski off season"

The people running the hostel. They go above and beyond to help you. They cooked us dinner and it was amazing. The sweep people I have meet In Japan.

Location is terrible especially out of snow season. Even though bookings says a free shuttle this is only in ski season.
