Cosy & Quiet - KING BED, Central, Smart TV

I liked the location, the room size, and the kitchenette. Thanks to all this the room felt quite practical and a good value for money (despite the inefficiencies I mention below). The street was busy (in a good sense) daytime but I think it was surprisingly quiet at nights, which I think was very good. The communication style of the host was nice too.

The lamp in the refrigerator was flashing like a stroboscope -- it was painful to look inside the fridge. I was surprised that whoever cleaned the room before my arrival did not notice the faulty lamp and that it was I who had to inform the host about it. The shower was working so-so: once it was just running cold (despite that I used the same positions of the knobs like before), so I had to randomly test different positions of the knobs to get warm water. This felt like a waste of time. Ironically, while the shower was cold, the room was rather warm: it was some +28C outside during the day and I realised that the room lacked airflow (it had small windows in the kitchenette and larger windows in the ceiling, but that didn't really work for cooling down the room). I think the room needs either an air conditioner or a better window design that actually allows for air to flow through the volume. There was a little portable fan provided by the host but it didn't really solve the problem. In general, I think the room met my expectations, because I was aware of some of its issues from others' reviews and by design / price it was like a 2* accommodation. So it was OK to try (I was actually curious about this accommodation and how the others' reviews reflect it) but I would not book it for a stay longer than 1-2 nights.

It matched the description and was very well equipped and comfortable. All the equipment was of good quality making it a real home from home. The location was conveniently close to the town centre and the station. I even enjoyed birdsong in nearby trees in the evening!

The hosts' notes mentioned a difficult lock and although I have similar models at home this one was particularly difficult and I took considerable time and several attempts each time I came and went to use it. I wondered if the door or frame are warped as I could not lock it from the inside at night.

It suited our needs. It was reasonably close to the centre and small supermarkets close by. Basic supplies, like tea bags, instant coffee, sugar, detergent, provided.

It was impossible to get a good flow of water in the shower with an acceptable temperature. Water to the basin and sink was nice and hot. The door needs a roller blind. Too much light. It too us the whole 4 days to get the knack of unlocking and locking the door. We would have preferred a microwave to a freezer. Two maintenance issue. The front door is starting to delaminate. One vane in the washing machine has broken away.

Really friendly staff that helped me get back my keys after I had left them on the property. Great location, good price, everything you'd want in the room from laundry to kitchen and everything in between.

The property is very clean, has everything you need: cooking facilities, an iron and ironing board, etc. and is located near the city center.
