"Pet friendly stay"

7.0

The accommodation is very close to town centre. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

The attic room I stayed in heats up quickly on warm sunny days even with windows open.

"Overall a pleasant stop over."

7.0

Location was great, an easy five minute walk to the high street in Hungerford. Plenty of pubs, cafes and antique shops and near to the canal. Apparently Hungerford Common was only a 2 minute walk away. Minnie was a pleasant and friendly host. A very quiet location. Tea/coffee making facilities were available in the hall along with a very tiny fridge which had fresh milk in. Minnie had made the room welcoming with roses from the garden. Parking was off road and behind an electric gate. Shower over the bath was very efficient and toiletries were provided.

Check in was very confusing and better communication or a note on the homepage would improve this. We feel a lock to the bedroom door would have provided us with more security/ privacy, but overall good for a short stay. Not sure the bathroom was ensuite, it would appear that there was another room which had it had been occupied would have used the only bathroom. At the time of our visit the other room was unoccupied, thus we had the bathroom to ourselves which had a lock on.

"Perfect place. Will return"

10.0

30 Park Street was perfect. Comfortable, clean, quiet. Cannot fault it. I essentially had a whole 'wing'. Not only a room, but a bathroom and extra area adjacent. It was wonderful. Plus the hosts were very accommodating. I was unsure as to me estimated arrival time (as I was arriving on foot). I called ahead to make them aware, and they were flexible with their check-in policy. They then called to check I was doing well and didn't require any further assistance. Very much going above and beyond. Highly recommend to anyone staying in the area or looking to take a stop whilst traversing the Kenneth & Avon Canal.

Nothing.

"Awful"

1.0

The bed was comfortable and the property was clean. The internet worked well. The fact I was the only guest as it’s not a private bathroom but a bathroom shared with another room

Shared bathroom. 5 degrees or lower outside and no heating. It was too cold to shower. The TV did not work - no aerial. The blind was stuck so I had to use pillows to create some privacy. There were rugs which were trip hazards. No information file or emergency phone number. The welcome consisted of a jug of milk with cling film - no information on the type. No biscuits. Tea bags and sugar not in individual sachets. No lock on the bedroom door. No fire instructions or fire escape route indicated. The coffee maker had no instructions so was useless. Finally where there are guests lit candles should not be left unattended. It’s unacceptable even if it’s in the hallway and as if to cap it all there was no information about how to exit the electric gates to leave so I had to ring the front door bell to ask. The chap I spoke to was pleasant but letting rooms to guests requires attention to heath and safety and a professional approach totally lacking at this establishment
