Host & Stay - The Annexe @ The Old Brewery

Nice place to stay, good location, check in instructions clear, owner responsive to issues raised.

We didn't have hot water in the property, resulting in cold showers etc which isn't ideal for a holiday. When raised with the owner, responses were prompt and it was fixed the following day. I am waiting to hear whether we will receive compensation for the inconvenience. There was a lack of basic cleaning supplies, such as washing up liquid and sponges. I mentioned this to the owners who said they will improve this going forward.

Location fantastic, overall nice place, enclosed garden for dogs.

The property was lovely but as up to 8 people can stay there and the price it could do with a dishwasher, more assesories e.g more than one tea towel and washing up cloth,few more condiments e.g salt and pepper, more than just 3 coffee pods provided. A few updates need looking at, shower heads worn, bedroom showe floods.

Very Spacious and Clean all facilities were as specified on their Website. Host and Stay were very helpful when making enquiries.

There was nothing to dislike

Really good location.

There was so much space over 4 floors, All bedrooms on lower level, you will need to be able to climb a wide staircase to access the kitchen and lounge area. Fabulous ice maker with in the fridge freezer , fully fitted kitchen with all cleaning products provided . Toilet rolls provided in all areas , never stayed anywhere with so many bathrooms 😀 . The location is amazing, we walked into town and visited the castle on the first day , but predominantly accessed the lovely riverside walks everyday we went in a different direction and followed the river , stunning Richmond Falls we visited every evening and skimmed pebbles and found a few fossils .would definitely return to this area .

Parking could be a little problem there was 2 families and 2 vehicles, there is a car park 50 yards away if you do struggle, but it would be nice if there was dedicated parking for the accommodation. The yard was rather untidy and not very safe looking, slabes left on the seat and uneven paths and the seating was too dirty to sit on even if we had chosen to be outside.

The accommodation is designed and furnished to a very high standard. It was bright and airy upstairs and was a lovely place for socialising. The bedrooms were in more subdued colours creating a restful environment for sleeping. We also appreciated the bathrooms on different levels and the heated kitchen floor. The property is in a great location , not far from the river and the town centre.

Central heating not working.requires zones fitting.and when we did getting it working could not turn off .unable to turn rads off as valves broken or missing .bins not emptied outside with rubbish falling onto unlit path as you walk into property

the location was great for Richmond town centre it was within walking distance has a steep hill which was difficult for one of our group

Court yard area could be nicer and walk in path is unlit and not flat , bins situation on walk in path isn’t good as your sharing with the other house and fills up quickly, looked like it hadn’t been emptied for what looked like a few weeks and was very smelly and attracted wasps and flys to the area which we had to walk past every day in and out the property several times , bottom stairs were difficult for elderly parents we travelled with as they didn’t have a banister or hand rail resulting in myself to go up or down with them every time to help .

There was free parking outside the property which was useful. There was a bit of a walk into town but that meant that it was quiet. Each bedroom had an ensuite which was ideal when travelling with a group of friends. The large living room was very comfortable

There was a faint damp smell in one of the bedrooms as it was slightly below ground. The house was cold downstairs when we arrived despite it being a warm day. The heating was off so it was difficult to dry towels. The towel radiator was cold.
