The welcome gifts from the host of traditional Portuguese biscuits from the area and wine were both lovely and thoughtful.

The location was great for us. It was a 10 minute walk to the coast, about 20 minutes to town. Parking outside was easy, and we loved the garden behind the property.

There was a shared laundry, though this cost extra to use. It wasn't a huge amount, but was unexpected.

The apartment feels brand new and was spotlessly clean when we arrived. We have spent a month there and it had all the necessities and appliances we could possibly need. Alexandre, the owner, is a great host and was available to assist us throughout our stay.

There was nothing to fault.

Facilities, comfort, and location

Location was wonderful. Very clean and added bonus of pool. Bonus gifts from host were wonderful.

Thought the added price to do laundry was a little steep.

The two bedroom apartment was spacious with full kitchen, very peaceful, we had a very enjoyable stay. The pool in the garden was great. Alexandre the owner was very helpful. Would really recommend the apartment. We will be back.

Apartment is fabulous. Much better in real life even than the pictures. We were on the ground floor with patio extending to garden and pool area which was perfect with 3 young kids. The location is great, about a 15-20m walk to beautiful cascais and a short walk to casa de Guia for restaurant options at night. Alex was a fantastic host and was always on hand for any advice/queries.

No negatives at all

We have travelled the world but this apartment was one of the best we have ever stayed in. It was immaculate, comfortable, beautifully decorated and thought out. The location was a 15mins easy walk to restaurants and shops, 2mins to a fantastic supermarket and just under 20mins walk to the train station and beaches. The host Alex couldn't do enough for us and was on hand whenever we needed him. He really has thought about everything in the apartment as well as offering you the best experience, local knowledge and a welcome gift including his yummy 'sand' biscuits. Thanks Alex we will be back!

Alexandre provided such a warm welcome upon our arrival to Caiscas along with some treats and a bottle of wine. He felt like a member of the family when he was walking us through the apartment and telling us where to visit and eat while in town. The apartment itself is beautifully decorated, spacious and so well equipped — the kitchen has everything you need to make meals in. We loved the private outdoor space with the string lights to enjoy a nice glass of wine when we came back from our day. We had our 5 month old with us so the built in black out blinds in the room with the twins in as key to helping us have him adjust to the new time zone. Pool was soooo very nice and a great place to relax from the heat. Location of the apartment is great, it’s literally a 2 min walk to a big grocery store and a nice 15 min walk along the water or through tree lined roads to downtown. We hope to come back with our whole family to rent all the apartments together.
